The balancing act of Chateau Montrose sees 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot and for the first time an inclusion from the recently purchased vineyard parcel of Phelan Segur. Chateau Montrose is considered a top producer from St-Estephe, known for potential in cellaring and considered unique for its style, which is set to 'vin de garde' wines. The estate property is set on gravel-based soils and sits in what is conisdered a microclimate, also conspiring in the unique perfumes, composition and forimdable structure of these wines. 2010 has been spectacular for Montrose power and presence, and will be a worthy wine to drink in a decade to 75 years.

JEAN-PIERRE MOUEIX BORDEAUX rouge was inspired by the founders early mission: when Jean-Pierre Moueix launched his wine merchant business in 1937, he sought to offer eminently drinkable and enjoyable wines that reflect a sense of place. Personally selected by Christian and Edouard Moueix, the Merlot grape offers depth and complexity, while Cabernet Franc brings structure and spice to the blend. Combined, these varietals produce wines of character and body while maintaining a unique suppleness. The wine shows ruby red with an intense, complex nose presenting notes of cherry, strawberry and blond tobacco. The palate is powerful and inviting with smooth, silky tannins.

Château Le Grand Verdus, with 115 hectares of vineyards, maintains a winery in the heart of the hills of Entre Deux Mers, 20km east of Bordeaux, near Saint-Emilion. Interestingly, the wine is unoaked. This allows the fruit full expression. With rich, round pleasant aromas, this wine reflects an intelligent blend of the vines of Grand Verdus. Haut Bailly II is the second wine of Chateau Haut-Bailly based in Pessac-Leognan, which was previously released as La Parde de Haut Bailly. A lovely wine with energy and drive.

An attractive wooden twin-pack case showcasing two classic Bordeaux blends: 2018 Chateau Haut Madrac is a Cru Bourgeois in the Haut Médoc. A blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon and 42% Merlot, it is an elegant yet powerful example claret with depth of flavour. 2022 Horizon de Lynch is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. Intense purple in colour, with aromas of toasty cedar, dark plums, and liquorice. Fine tannins round out the silky finish - a great example of a modern and highly drinkable claret.

"Petit Cantenac is part of the 6 hectare Clos Cantenac estate located in the heart of the Saint-Émilion appellation and produces rich, round and supple wines. 2021 is a blend of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Charming aromas of bright, ripe redcurrant and red cherry fruit. Vibrant and juicy on he mid-palate with ripe, silky tannins that wrap around a more serious core of crunchy blackcurrant and black cherry with subtle, integrated oak spice. "

Carruades de Lafite, the second wine of the esteemed Château Lafite Rothschild in Bordeaux, France, exemplifies the winery's commitment to excellence and offers a compelling expression of the Pauillac appellation. Sourced from the same vineyards as its grand vin counterpart, Carruades de Lafite showcases a refined and approachable style, characterized by elegant fruit flavors, harmonious structure, and a notable sense of finesse. Château Duhart-Milon is a fourth growth (Quatrième Cru Classé) estate in the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux. Part of the Domaines Barons de Rothschild, the wine is made by the same winemaking team as Château Lafite. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with a substantial component of Merlot, the Grand Vin is matured for 18 months in approximately 50% new French oak barriques. Château Duhart-Milon is typically a sturdy solid Pauillac with firm structure and earthy savoury richness.
