From a beloved WA producer comes this great value Chardonnay. Hardworking primary fruit flavours are well supported by quality oak input this is a classy wine for the the price.

Produced from old low yielding Hunter Valley vines this Verdelho has lifted lychee lime and tropical fruit aromas and ripe spicy flavours with zippy acidity.

Made in tiny quantities from ridiculously low yields of Petit Manseng, this offers all the purity and precision of Dagueneau’s greatest wines. Dider Dagueneau loved the wines of J. J. Prüm, and you can think of this as a Prüm-styled Jurançon (such is the purity and electric intensity!). The pricing reflects the costs of making the wine (via berry-by-berry selection, even though no botrytis is involved). To arrive at this price per bottle, the claim is that the project's costs are simply totalled and then divided by the number of bottles made. Sounds logical enough! The low yields and warmth of the site mean Les Jardins de Babylone can be picked in late October, a whole month before the grapes for conventional Jurançon Moelleux are typically picked. Even so, the wine usually ends up with approximately 130 g/L residual sugar, perfectly balanced by tangy, mouthwatering acidity to give a wine with fabulous verve and drive. As alluded to above, this wine is Germanic in style, so it isn’t only a dessert wine, but can also be drunk throughout the meal (the way you might consume a German Auslese) or with cheese. Of course, it can work brilliantly with carefully matched desserts (ideally citrus- or apple-based).

The nose is aromatic with mandarin, melon and lemon rind. The palate is fresh and rich - stone fruits and citrus with clean, crisp acidity. Texture and mouth feel with weight and layers of flavour.

Pizzini Arneis is grown and made in the foothills of the King Valley. This delicate grape ripens slowly in the protective Autumn mists and shows a bouquet of quince and almond and the palate displays wonderfully elegant fruit flavours.

Margaret River is a world renowned Chardonnay producing region and Pierro can rightfully stake a claim as to why. Incredibly complex, it is a tangle of fine-boned acid, lees complexity, pristine fruit and the most detailed use of good quality oak. Extremely enjoyable now, but will benefit from short to medium term cellaring.

Krondorf is a Barossa wine name that is steeped in history and tradition. Beginning with the establishment of the Glenview winery back in 1850s, the Krondorf name was re-born by Grant Burge back in 1978 and today is one of the most successful wineries on the wine show circuit winning countless trophies and gold medals in the past 10 years. This Chardonnay is a bright straw colour with hints of golden yellow, while on the nose aromas of melon and citrus typical of the varietal are present. The long and persistent palate is wonderfully textured and a great match for some smoked trout.

Annie's Lane Riesling shows attractive varietal aromas of citrus and floral notes. The palate is crisp and focused, the flavours of lemon butter and honey framed by lingering acidity. Consistently one of the best value Riesling's available.
