In 1843, Dr Lindeman, an upstanding man of formidable character, started his own winery. In doing so, he set his sights on civilising a colony of hard-drinking ruffians by introducing them to more gentlemanly pursuits, such as the enjoyment of a refined drop. Squealing Pig is a tale about a pig who wanted more from life. Keen on wine, but not a fan of the boar, he went on an adventure to Marlborough and Central Otago seeking out Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Rosé wines with a difference. Pale salmon colour it is a crisp, silky smooth style of Sparkling Rose. Intensely aromatic on the nose and tastes full and luscious on the palate.

MadFish Shiraz is an award-winning red displaying a rich garnet colour with great density. The nose is generous with dark cherry, black and blue berry aromas, as well as subtle savoury notes. The palate offers flavours of cherry, dark plum and chocolate along with an earthy complexity, gentle tannin structure and ample length. All-in-all, it's an opulent, full-bodied wine showing concentrated fruit flavours and a soft, approachable palate. Its a great choice to pair with spicy venison sausages, lamb moussaka or beef bourguignon.
