Applejack Vineyard was planted by highly respected viticulturist Ray Guerin and is managed by his son Mark. This vineyard is situated in the Upper Yarra Valley to the south east of the traditional valley floor. The higher altitudes result in cooler growing conditions, despite the westerly aspect. The distinctive dark-red volcanic loam soil is a distinguishing feature of the vineyard. Applejack Vineyard is located on a dramatic slope and is close planted and meticulously managed. Our Barolo comes from the best plots of seven cru. The diversity of soils, exposure and altitude characterises each of these small but very important terroir. Unifying these diversities, the Barolo offers harmony and complexity with an overall character of the zone. Paolo Scavino owns 29 hectares entirely in the Barolo area and works on 20 Barolo historical crus located in Castiglione Falletto, Barolo, La Morra, Novello, Serralunga d'Alba, Verduno and Roddi. The Scavino family distinguishes itself from the beginning by their scrupulous care of the vineyards and passion for terroir. Their core beliefs is the supremacy of the viticulture above the oenology therefore the focus is the care of the vines in order to grow ripe and healthy grapes. In winemaking minimal and equal intervention are sought, to preserve natural diversities, terroir.

ARPEPE Sassella Stella Retica , Valtellina, Valtellina

Complete with well developed strawberries and cream with savoury, generous fruit. Playful and fun, solid depth and length. This is a big step up from the standard Barbaresco. The sophistication of mouthfeel, layering of tannins and flavours marking the difference.

Cinnamon, vanilla and a hint of coconut aromas and flavors lead off, offering black cherry, blackberry and violet notes buried within. This is supple and vibrant, with excellent balance. Just give it six months to a year to absorb the oak. Nebbiolo, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Syrah.

Ruby red, bright but not deep, with orange tints. Intense, ample and persistent, with notes of faded violet and tobacco. Full-bodied and harmonious, with hints of plum, walnut husk and wild berries.

The Vada Emilio Nebbiolo Langhe L'Erth DOC 2017 is a stunning example of the renowned grape varietal from Piedmont, Italy. With a deep ruby hue, this wine is visually striking and immediately entices the senses. On the nose, aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, and dried herbs mingle with hints of leather and tobacco, showcasing the complexity of the Nebbiolo grape. On the palate, bold tannins give way to a well-balanced acidity, with flavours of ripe red fruit, earthy undertones, and a touch of spice. The 2017 vintage has allowed this wine to reach its peak, making it a delight to drink now or to cellar for future enjoyment. Vada Emilio's expertise in winemaking is evident in every sip, making this Nebbiolo a true masterpiece.

Nebbiolo d'Alba comes from a vineyard located in Roddi, a short distance from Verduno, at an altitude of 270 m. Old vineyard, facing south-southeast, with different biopypes, including the rose'. The grapes are harvested only when they are sensorially ready ; the vinification does not follow rules but is interpreted from year to year adapting to the grape. The refinement, given the reduced volumes, takes place in barrels of 500 liters and bottling the summer following the harvest. Soils of Langa, rich in limestone make it a very aromatic and structured wine.
