This is the 1st release of the Serafino Sorrento Chardonnay, a wine that takes a modern twist with exciting new labelling and refreshing winemaking. Sorrento is one Italys most famous towns and one of Serafino (Steve) Maglieris favourite beaches. From the Howard Park stable comes this impressive Chardonnay sourced from Margaret River fruit. The Gold Turtle displays opulent honeyed peach flavours with a beguiling texture that lingers on the the palate for what seems like an eternity. A perfect match to Asian Fusion cuisine as well as being more than at home when enjoyed on its own.

The Serafino Fiano is a bright vibrant wine, displaying intense citrus and floral characters. The wine is crisp and refreshing with layers of flavour and a fine mouthwatering finish.

Our Fiano is a modern Australian interpretation of this delicious Italian grape variety. Aromas of honeydew and white peach with hints of citrus blossom and kaffir lime. On the palate we taste an array of complex fruits from white peach and semi dried white nectarine, to white saffron pear and citrus with classic creamy texture that is Fiano. The wine finishes refreshingly dry and crisp. A great partner with salads, seafood, light poultry and a refreshing drink on its own.

McLaren Vale and Shiraz - the perfect match. Steve Maglieri is the icon behind the Serafino name and his Shiraz is a typically wonderful full-flavoured and full-bodied red with the black and red fruits you can handle. A rich and voluptuous palate with a silken, textured finish that is a perfect match to big, rich beef dishes or a robust lamb ragu.

Shingleback owners John & Kym Davey produce a lovely, rich McLaren Vale Shiraz here with aromas of ripe cherry fruit, milk chocolate and licorice. Plush and sweet fruited on the palate, the tannins are soft and supple. Wonderful drinking.

The McLaren Vale can be considered the true home of Grenache blends here in Australia witho some of the oldest vines in the world being dry grown there. Steve Maglieri's Serafino label provides a rich and delicious GSM blend a nose of rose petal and tobacco. The palate flows on with dense coffee and cedar notes that glide across the tongue.

d'Arenberg Hermit Crab Viognier Marsanne has medium golden colour leads to a sweetly ripe nose of apricots and honeysuckle. The palate is big textual and warmish with sweet apricot and stewed pear flavours. Perfect with red duck curry.

Chardonnay is at home in the Margaret River in Australia's west and this great value version from Cow Bombie shows lovely rich varietal flavours of peach and melon and textured mouth feel are enhanced by zesty citrus notes which linger on the finish.
