Red-brown loam over shale and red clay vineyards in the South and Central Barossa Valley enable St Hallett to create wine parcels of generosity of flavour, length and texture like Faith shiraz.Dark berry fruits and a soft and luscious palate are the hallmark characters of this wine. Pepper spices and chocolate notes marry together with softly coating tannins to complete this rich and generous palate.

This is magnificently fruited and gloriously expressed on the nose showing blackberry, spiced plum, chocolate tart, cake spice and cedar characters. A sumptuous palate that is opulent and impressively weighted. The wine is powerfully graceful with a seamless flow to an impressively long engaging finish.

Deep and bright colours with a purple hue, the Optimist Shiraz also offers aromas of lifted satsuma plum, raspberry, violet flower, with a hint of cherry oak. The palate is bursting with bright fresh blue fruits, a rich middle palate with lots of satsuma plum and dark cherries. At last an affordable Merlot with some real varietal character! Grant Burge Hillcot range has soft ripe red berry and raspberry aromas on the nose. Followed by ripe plum and cherry flavours enhanced by well-integrated oak.

The shiraz is an intense fruit driven wine with abundant bright black fruit flavours and a rich round pallet. Lingering dark red fruit, spice and subtle oak completes this shiraz that is ready for immediate enjoyment and will continue to improve over the next 10 years.
