Bunkers Honeycombs Chardonnay is a white varietal which has a pale green colour. Its nose gives off lovely aromas of citrus and stone fruit, while its palate tastes of Chardonnay grapes wrapped in a delicate and creamy mid-palate. The process of oak maturation adds texture, complexity and finesse to the palate, which gets balanced by zingy acidic tinges. Modern white wine making techniques were used with temperature control critical from the vineyard through to the winery. The fruit was destemmed and crushed then must chilled and pressed off the skins quickly. It was allowed to settle for 72 hours before being racked in a clarified state to a fermentation tank. Each variety was kept separately with the idea to maximise it s potential prior to blending. Abundantly ripe bouquet of stone fruits, white peach and nectarines mingled with fine buttery oak undertones. Creamy powerful, complex, mouth filling with a persistant dry finish.

Pale straw colour with nettles, limes, guava and tropical fruits combine to produce a complex nose, which is enhanced with some butterscotch lees characters. The palate is vibrant and fresh with a lovely concentration of tropical and subtle tropical flavours. The wine finishes with persistence and a lingering attractive textural flavour.

From the near perfect 2018 vintage this wine is typical of the style that comes from Margaret River tropical fruit mineral layers, and crisp acidity.
