Maker: Louis Roederer is a highly respected Champagne producer located in the historic city of Reims. The renowned Champagne house, founded in the late 1700s, is still owned and operated by the Roederer family. Their signature style consists of an equal blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with a touch of Pinot Meunier, which comprises approximately one-fifth of the blend. Louis Roederer's most famous wine is Cristal, a prestigious Champagne that has captured the hearts of wine enthusiasts worldwide. The house was founded in 1833 and aimed to capture foreign markets, particularly Russia. Roederer became the wine of choice for the Russian royal family, and Cristal was created for Tsar Alexander II. Louis Roederer acquired grand cru vineyards in Champagne in 1845, which was unusual for the time as most houses were buying grapes from growers. Today, the Roederer vineyards encompass around 240 hectares of land, with around 25% managed biodynamically. This commitment to sustainable farming practices is a testament to the house's dedication to producing high-quality wines that are both delicious and environmentally responsible. The Vineyard: The year 2020 followed a similar trajectory to that of 2019 with a mild and rainy winter followed by a dry summer with several heatwaves which, although less extreme than in 2019, still had an impact on the yield. Fortunately, the weather was rather dull and a bit wet in June which provided a welcome humid interlude between two dry spells. Despite early impressions of relentless heat and sunshine, the temperatures and sunshine levels over the 2020 harvest period were actually relatively normal. These continental conditions, but with "normal" annual averages, enabled the production of mature and well-balanced wines! The harvests took place between 22 August and 11 September 2020. Nose - Nectarine, Lemon, Sugared Almonds Bouquet of yellow fruits (nectarine) and ripe, concentrated citrus (lemon) complemented by sweet notes of petals, pollen, sugared almonds and wheat. Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage (6 )

The 2016 vintage reveals a confident structure and generous texture, led by Pinot Noir with Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier in support. Notes of white peach, jasmine and brioche lead into a supple palate of aniseed, melon and fennel, underlined by a persistent freshness. Presented here as a six-bottle collection, it’s a layered, radiant Champagne made for thoughtful toasts or refined seasonal pairings — especially shellfish, chicken or soft cheeses. Maker: The legendary Moët & Chandon is celebrating 280 years as the world’s most loved champagne. For over a quarter of a millennium, the renowned French winemaker has been sharing the magic of champagne across the globe. Every glass overflows with the House’s hallmark values of history, generosity, savoir-faire, success, boldness and elegance—values still at the heart of its global appeal. Toward the end of the 18th century, Jean-Remy Moët, grandson of founder Claude Moët, became famous as the man who introduced champagne to the world. The important figures of the era, from the Marquise de Pompadour to Talleyrand to Napoleon quickly fell in love with the House’s effervescent wine. Moët & Chandon was soon the icon of success and elegance that it remains to this day. The Vineyard/Philosophy: At Moët & Chandon, the philosophy behind the Grand Vintage is to create a champagne that is more than just a product of nature but a true expression of craftsmanship and artistry. The Cellar Master’s interpretation of the year’s harvest is vital in shaping the wine’s profile, as each vintage is crafted from the best grapes selected from the Champagne House’s vast network of vineyards. While every vintage is unique, Moët & Chandon maintains a commitment to producing champagnes that are elegant, refined, and of the highest quality. The Grand Vintage series is a perfect reflection of this philosophy, offering a rare opportunity to taste the personal vision of Moët & Chandon’s winemakers, year after year. Nose - Subtle Herbs, Apple, Jasmine A tender and vegetal bouquet. The nose first expresses itself with restraint, subtly hinting a soft and fresh white-green spectrum of fruits. Initial notes of breadcrumbs, fresh brioche and almond paste give way to elderflower and jasmine, then to fruit such as white peach and watermelon. Palate - Floral, Fleshy Fruit, Fennel A direct and enveloping palate. The attack on the mouth is direct and confident. The structure is generous, ample and supple, reminiscent of the cotton flower. The enveloping and caressing texture is accompanied by floral, aniseed and mentholated nuances which bring lightness and freshness for such a solar vintage. Finish - Sappy, Racy Acidity, Fresh Almonds The finish lingers on a slightly sappy note, with a delicate bitterness evoking fresh almonds.
