The Wild Pixie by d'Arenberg has an unmistakeable connection with the earth from which it emerged, and is the perfect accompaniment to a rustic BBQ cooked over a glowing camp fire on a cold starry night. The flavours and aromas of earth, soot and game perfectly complement the setting. Primary blackberry and mulberry notes appear as the Shiraz develops in the glass. A rich, classically styled, medium to full-bodied Shiraz with ample richness, a softly textured supple mouthfeel, and lifted flavours of ripe dark plum, liquorice, dark chocolate and toasty vanillin oak gliding across the palate.

Deep and bright colours with a purple hue, the Optimist Shiraz also offers aromas of lifted satsuma plum, raspberry, violet flower, with a hint of cherry oak. The palate is bursting with bright fresh blue fruits, a rich middle palate with lots of satsuma plum and dark cherries.
