Domaine Albert Morot Beaune 1er Cru Les Greves
Here too there is a similar mentholated nose on the spiced plum, dark cherry and warm earth-suffused aromas that are trimmed in enough wood to mention. The delicious and energetic middle weight plus flavors display focused power on the moderately austere finish where a touch of dryness slowly emerges. I suspect that this will round out in time as the dryness is subtle. Drink 2028+.

Paringa Estate Reserve Pinot Noir
Very bright colour; monolithic in proportion with more of everything, handled with great control; dark plum, bright cherry, allspice, game and charry oak intermingle for a heady mix of aromas; the palate relays this conviction with real depth and power on entry, and lightness returns as the flavours cascade from start to finish; needs much time, but will richly reward patience.
Domaine Lamy-Pillot Blanches Fleurs
Domaine Lamy-Pillot Blanches Fleurs, Beaune Domaine Lamy-Pillot is a small family-run winery, established in 1973, which counts as relatively youthful for the region. The wines of Lamy-Pillot are consistent and drinkable in the very best sense. The Blanches-Fleurs is a joyful, fruit-forward Pinot Noir, best enjoyed in its youth. Bright and lively on the nose, with notes of luscious red cherry, raspberry, and a shower of white floral (thus Blanches Fleurs). On the palate, you will taste those vibrant fruits again, with honeyed tones, light spice, and soft tannins.
Domaine Lamy-Pillot 1er Cru Morgeot
Domaine Lamy-Pillot 1er Cru Morgeot, Chassagne-Montrachet Domaine Lamy-Pillot is a small family-run winery, established in 1973, which counts as relatively youthful for the region. The wines of Lamy-Pillot are consistent and drinkable in the very best sense. The 1er Cru Chassagne-Montrachet is made with Pinot Noir fruit from vines planted in 1976, just three years after the establishment of the Domaine. It is aged for 12-18 months in barrel, 25% new oak. Closed in its youth, there is plenty of opportunity for ageing here. You will smell red forest fruits and light spice, with a balanced palate recalling raspberry, white pepper, slight smokiness, and whispers of oak.
Domaine Henri Magnien Champerrier
Domaine Henri Magnien Gevrey-Chambertin Champerrier A relatively new cuvée, 2013 the first vintage of this wine. Situated close to Chambertin, Clos de Beze and Mazis-Chambertin, this vineyard is planted to old vines and Henri Magnien makes a mere 1200 bottles made. Champerrier has unusually rocky soils for Gevrey-Chambertin and this is evident in the wine with its minerality and elegance in with all that usual tannic structure. '...this is an exciting emerging domaine with which consumers are warmly advised to acquaint themselves'- Wine Advocate Shop Henri Magnien >
