Chateau Tanunda was established in 1890 and is the site of some of the First vines planted in the Barossa in the 1840s as well as the Valleys first winery. The grapes for this Cabernet Sauvignon are from select rows of our Eden Valley vineyard. This wine displays deep, rich purple and red hues. The bouquet has lifted aromas of blackcurrant,bluberry and spice on the silky smooth palate with hints of cedar and mint.

Colour is deep red. The nose shows aniseed, tar, FruChocs and spicy oak. The fine palate entry has mulberry, cranberry, aniseed and liquorice flowing delicately with Rhone-like spicy, chewy, savoury tannins.

This fruity little beauty will lock you in at first sight. Created with care and precision, just like its namesake, it will spice up your day whatever the occasion. A startling, juicy red, it can be shared with friends (or alone, we don’t judge). Whatever the reason to drink, remember to appreciate each day and celebrate life. This is magnificently fruited and gloriously expressed on the nose showing blackberry, spiced plum, chocolate tart, cake spice and cedar characters. A sumptuous palate that is opulent and impressively weighted. The wine is powerfully graceful with a seamless flow to an impressively long engaging finish.

A superb example of classic Barossa Shiraz. Bold, full-flavoured and complex, it offers great depth and silky tannins. Magnificent drinking now but will reward medium-term cellaring.

Beginning with Langmeil Valley Floor Shiraz's vibrant purple colour, this wine exudes classic Barossa character. The bouquet offers aromas of kirsch, chocolate, berries and warm earth while the palate is laden with rich, ripe and lingering blackberry spice and peppery flavours.

Chris Hatcher of 'Hatch Wines' has been a winemaker for almost 50 years including more than 35 years at Wolf Blass, 27 as Chief Winemaker. After many years of contemplating releasing his own wines, Hatch retired from TWE in June 2023 and then in October/November released my own label HATCH, his monicker for most of his life. Hatch Barossa St Johns Shiraz is a powerful, full bodied and opulent wine with vibrance and purity. Intense and concentrated with great aromatics of plum and dark cherry, the palate has dark red fruits, is round, soft with seductive oak and silky tannins.

Crafted from grapes sourced from only the old and gnarled vines from some of the Barossa Valley's most historic sites, this wine demonstrates the living history inherited from this region's forefathers and their legacy for quality. Deepening amber in colour with tints of ruby. There are enticing aromas of dark chocolate and warming spice leading to a luscious palate of concentrated dark forest berry fruits derived from old Barossa vines - layered with complexity of spice from time spent maturing in oak barrels, silky tannins and a long finish.

A rich, classically styled, medium to full-bodied Shiraz with ample richness, a softly textured supple mouthfeel, and lifted flavours of ripe dark plum, liquorice, dark chocolate and toasty vanillin oak gliding across the palate.
