Franklin Tate himself has sought out the finest vineyard sites in the Margaret River region to deliver superb, terroir driven, wines that showcase the tradition and longevity of the Tate name, but also a modern and innovative wine-making approach. The Chardonnay was one third fermented in fine French Oak barriques delivery a soft and creamy mouthfeel, yet still with varietal lift and fine acid balance.

The citrus rind and grapefuit lead the palate to an overall fine yet textural journey. Cape Mentelle Chardonnay had this distinctive minerally line too, apparent with focussed refreshing acidity. Deep Woods Estate Harmony Rosé continues a run of excellent vintages, combining freshness and lightness that is satisfying and simply mouth-watering. Pale pink colour with salmon hues, a wild strawberry nose with a hint of lifted violet notes. Palate is dry, with well-balanced acidity displaying raspberry and strawberry fruit flavours and a beautifully persistent finish.
