Sauvignon Blanc thrives in the cool climate and high altitude of this renowned region, displaying strong varietal intensity and regional expression. Sassy is full of citrus blossom aromas and delightful aromatics. The middle palate has lovely weight from time on lees and refreshing green apple crunchiness. A medium bodied cool-climate Adelaide Hills Shiraz that dispalys all of the charcteristics of a classic French Rhone red. Hand picked, small batch fermentation from our close planted Shiraz block (4,444 vine per hecatre - as suggested by Brian Crosser) block has produced a wine with lots of spice, sweet bberries and a hint of cedar.

This is a classic cool-climate medium bodied Australian Shiraz made from our best close planted Shiraz block with approx 4,444 vines per hectare compared to the usual Australian 1,850 vine per hectare all with of focus on high quality low yielding vines allowing the fruit characters to come to the fore. Hand-picked, small batch fermentation and maturation in French oak barrels for approx. 20 months has produced a wine with spice and ripe fruit, white pepper, cloves, cedar, orange peel, blackberry and a combination of strongly savoury and sweeter berried flavours developing into an extremelly interesting wine.
