Grapes for this Shiraz are sourced from our growers in the Barossa Valley. The well ripened grapes are carefully destemmed and crushed to fermenters where they are macerated in a way to minimise extraction of hard tannins. All providing a rich and generous nose and mouthfeel. This is achieved with less vigorous maceration and lower fermentation temperatures. Maturation then takes place with American and French oak before blending and bottling. The grapes for our Shiraz come from our loyal growers throughout the Barossa Valley. Soils, site and viticultural practices vary but the one common factor in these vineyards is the unmistakable generosity that shines through in the wine.

The Barossa is an area rich with history and wine has been a way of life since 1842. An area abundant of fertile soils, a diversity of culture and religion, the Barossa's landscape is still distinguished by many Lutheran church steeples.We honour this history with Old Kirche, an exquisite representation of a classic deep red Shiraz with aromas of dark berries, cinnamon and nutmeg spice.
