Prosper Delord was a travelling distiller who upon discovering Armagnac fell in love with the spirit and decided to start Maison Delord in 1893. Today Jerome and Sylvain Delord, Propers great grandchildren continue the tradition with the same passion, knowledge and love that has been handed down through the generations. This armagnac is aged for a minimum of 10 years. Aromas of caramel with flavours of spice and oak, mellowing out into plums and raisin sweetness and an aromatic finish.

Inspired by the visit of Alfred Barnard to the distillery in the 1880's when he tried an 'exceptionally fine' eight-year-old from the distillery, this is a fitting tribute for the milestone.

Established in 2005, Kilchoman (pronounced Kilhoman) is one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland. Cherry, apricot and blackcurrant. Vanilla, butterscotch with a hint of saltiness.Finish: Dry, long, hint of saltiness. Faint wood smoke and dried fruit.

Tasting note: Matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels for seven years before being transferred to smaller 125 litre Quarter casks for a further two years. The process amplifies the impact of the wood. Fumey alcohol gives way to hints of dried coconut, raisin chocolate, pine needles and a vaguely cider-like fruitiness. It's a big, chewy malt with a fabulous fanning flavour rush and impressive control. Summer pudding and vanilla come through on the finish before the aftertaste ends crisp and pleasingly astringent. Delicious. 56.2% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
