The Site: In the Wairau Plains sub-region of Marlborough lies Rapaura, traditionally referred to as ‘the Golden Triangle’ where Heather and Milton Staple’s hand-tended Walnut Flat Vineyard is located. The warm stony site allows for extended ripening, producing beautiful full flavoured and richly concentrated fruit. Like Vines Chardonnay displays flint aromas overlay fresh citrus and white nectarine fruit with a hint of French oak and luscious length.

The extraordinarily scenic Marlborough Sounds, in Maori the Sounds represent the sunken bows of Aoraki, the canoe that is Mt Cook, are full of gems great food and wine and world famous trout fishing. Marlborough Sounds Chardonnay displays bright flavours of pear and nectarine, backed by minerally notes. There is a lovely subtle touch of oak which is reminiscent of freshly baked bread. It's little surprise that her Sauvignon Blanc shines, with its pristine and delicate mineral drive backed up with some fresh green herb and tropical notes. Crisp, dry and very Moorish.

The Ned is a Kiwi Savvy with a more mineral accent, offering structure indicative of Marlborough region. The tropical elements still shine gooseberries aplenty and a dainty touch of fruit sweetness in the finish.
