This Heathcote Sangiovese shows the classical sour cherry flavours with a balanced and integrated structure that is crying out for a antipasto plate.

The grapes are carefully selected, only perfectly ripe, healthy ones with out botrytis are used to make this Villa Wolf Pinot Noir Rosé. It has deliciously light with bright fruits characters and finishes with lively acidity that cleans the palate refreshingly.

Fred Pizzini grew up in Italy and is bringing the taste of his homeland to the Australian dining table. His Sangiovese is one of the best examples in the country, with spicy, savoury fruit hiding a vein of mouth watering acid that is a hallmark of the variety. Located in Fumane di Valpolicella, the Allegrini family have been producing wine in the region since 1557 and today tend around 70 hectares of vines in the communes of Fumane, Sant Ambrogio and San Pietro, all situated within the Valpolicella Classico DOC. The Allegrini range includes Valpolicella, Amarone and Recioto as well as the single vineyard wines, La Grola made from Corvina, Rondinella, Syrah and Sangiovese and La Poja produced from just Corvina. Work in both the vineyard and winery is meticulous with no stone left unturned. Allegrini are considered to be one of the regions, and Italys finest producers.

This is produced with grapes from a single vineyard of over 50 years vine age; the ancient clone with the red stem. It is vinified without the use of wood, in full respect of the tradition. Purple-red color with delicate violet reflections. Intense floral and fruity fragrance with enveloping notes of cherries, blackberry jam and violets. Fresh, mineral and super juicy with a typical pleasant almond finish and sweet tannins in the mouth. A very drinkable yet structured Dolcetto, capable also of moderate ageing.
