Blend 3 is our traditional blend, which combines the 3 Nebbiolo clones we have growing at Pipan Steel Wines. It takes the structure of Clone 7 and layers the perfume of Clone 9 with the savouriness of Clone 10, producing a complex satisfying Nebbiolo. Drink it with dishes as delicate as a broth through to rich slow cooked pork.Blend 3 was voted first consensus pick in the Young Gun of Wine Spotlight on Nebbiolo blind tasting in July 2019.

With a polished brown centre and orange-amber edges, this wine has a honeysuckle scent with discreet butterscotch notes. Refined and balanced on the palate, flinty and mellowed tannins meld with concentrated red berry fruit and lifted mineral freshness. Nuanced flavours of tobacco lead to a focused, dry finish. APPEARANCE: Amber with hints of topaz. AROMA: A very intense bouquet of fresh fruit (grapes and cherries) combined with dried fruit and nutty aromas from the extended oak. PALATE: The wine displays a fine balance of youth and maturity. Fresh grape flavours contrast with the warmth of dried fruit and complex nutty characters, which linger very long on the palate.
