Brown Brothers Pinot Chardonnay Brut Non-Vintage

Brown Brothers continue their run of good form with yet another brilliant sparkling wine that offers jaw-dropping value for money. The wine explodes in the mouth a soft creamy feeling that is a direct result of the very fine bubble. The green apple flavours carry through to the palate with lemon citrus notes accompanied by the soft creaminess and a delicate and refreshing acid on the finish. Castagna Growers Selection Beechworth Chardonnay

A classic Beechworth Chardonnay, straw-gold with a green tinge: aromas of hazelnut, yellow peach, and nuances of matchstick mingled with spicy-oak notes of ginger and orange zest; the attack is full of rich, peach and nectarine fruit flavours.

Brokenwood Chardonnay

Brokenwood continue to push the boundaries with their Chardonnay - this release sees the majority of fruit sourced from the exciting Beechworth region and winemaking inputs emphasise complexity.

Savaterre Frere Cadet Chardonnay

Occasionally, when rare parcels of particularly outstanding Beechworth grapes become available, Savaterre's wine maker Keppell Smith likes to create something unique, like this Chardonnay, and bottle it under Savaterre's Frere Cadet (Younger Brother) label. These wines are created with the same attention to detail that goes into their premium Savaterre label.

Risky Business King Valley Pinot Grigio

Twin Valleys Fiano

Fiano is one of the newer Italian arrivals on the scene and we couldn’t be happier that it’s here. Fiano is a versatile grape and suits a lot of growing conditions, from the Mediterranean climate of McLaren Vale to the alpine freshness of the King Valley. This KV example is a touch lighter and brighter than what you’d get from the Vale - sitting closer to grigio than say, viognier. There is still heaps of fruit and florals in this wine and acid to accompany all sorts of foods - though no doubt best with something southern Italian.

Brown Brothers Patricia Pinot Noir Chardonnay Brut

A light straw colour with a fine persistent bead. The nose is lifted with a rich yeast autolysis character and hints of citrus and apple. The palate is full bodied, complex and rich with prominent lemon and lime flavours and a bready character that lingers. The palate is creamy and elegant with a crisp, dry finish and refreshing acidity.

Nugan Estate Frasca's Lane Pinot Grigio

King Valley is well known for producing some of the country's best PG and this well made example from regional experts Nugan Estate shows why.Bright mid yellow. Varietal green apple and pear. Bright and fresh with clean, dry and savoury white and yellow fruits, hints of fresh and dried herb and crunchy, minerally acidity. A good example of the variety that's great with or without food.

Brokenwood Indigo Vineyard Chardonnay

The Beechworth terroir has a distinctive fruit character of pear/peach fruit. The oak has minimal impact by using older French oak and mainly puncheons. The warm year has meant less citrus lift but has bran meal notes from the wild ferment and extended lees contact. The palate is quite rich with zesty acid line through to the finish. Drinking well now but will improve with further bottle age. Maybe leave the 2012 and 2013 for a couple more years and enjoy this in its place. Enjoy with Seafood to light meats.
