There's nothing you won't adore about this beauty. All the juicy, chocolate notes of McLaren Vale shiraz, with a bit of rum n' raisin spiciness bringing some real game. An old school style from a mordern McLaren Vale winemaker. Made by the grape master Matt Head (who you might also know from the cult favourite Big Easy Radio) whose creative and level-headed approach to life results in wines with spirit and soul. This parcel has been safeguarded under the Parous label, just waiting for its time and loving home to go to. It must be your lucky day mofo, because they've found it with you. It's powerful, but not overwhelming; the perfect choice to keep you entertained from weeknights to the weekend.
Serafino Sorrento Shiraz
Steve Maglieri's Serafino Sorrento Shiraz, is one the most flavourful McLaren Shiraz's we've seen for quite some time. Spicy and rich on the front palate that then leads to a supreme density consisting of ripe plums and blackcurrants. If you're a McLaren Vale Shiraz lover, this Sorrento Shiraz has your name written all over it.
Shingleback Red Knot Shiraz
Shingleback's Red Knot Shiraz is a superb example of how a McLaren Vale Shiraz should be. Rich, luscious aromas followed by a medium-bodied palate with well balanced acidity, tannins and texture. The 2010 gives flavours of ripe strawberries, blackberries and rose petals with hints of cashew and creme brulee. Enjoy this excellent value Shiraz now or let it develop for a few years in the cellar.
Robert Oatley Signature Series Shiraz
Utilising the winemaking talents of Larry Cherubino and over 40 years of winemaking experience himself, Robert Oatley lends his name to this McLaren Vale Shiraz that has all the hallmarks of an exceptional regional example. Matured for 10 months in French oak and sourced from fruit from around the sub-region of Blewitt Springs, this Shiraz is opulent, fleshy and textured with flavours of blueberries and spice with a lingering, soft finish.

Haselgrove Il Padrone Shiraz
Lovers of classic Vale shiraz will adore this! It’s big, rich & round (we’re salivating already and offers loads of inky goodness to get lost in. Plush, chewy berries with hints of peppery spice and leather float intriguingly across the palate. Plums, blueberries and juicy black cherries dominate the fruit spectrum in that inimitable Vale dark coffee-cake profile. It’ll get even more attractive in a few years, but I, for one, won’t be able to keep my hands off it.
Monterra Reseve McLaren Vale Shiraz
Heirloom McLaren Vale Shiraz
Heirloom Vineyards was conceived in vintage 2000, when a young winemaking student caught the eye of a silly old wine judge. A love story ensued inspired by two vows: To preserve the best of tradition, the old world of wine and our unique old vineyards, and to champion the best clones of each variety, planted in the most appropriate sites, embracing the principles of organic and biodynamic farming.
Mr Smith McLaren Vale Shiraz
Colour: Medium to deep red with crimson hues. Nose: red berries, nutmeg & touch of cinnamon, complimented with cedar oak. Palate: Generous spice carries through to the palate. Fine tannins and intense red berries enhanced with integrated oak, bright acidity and a long finish. Overall true to varietal. Best Drinking: great drinking from 2022. Beyond that it will age gracefully until at least 2030 and beyond. Food Match: superb with rich flavoursome dishes. With the wine’s savoury notes consider also medium flavour pairings. Winemaker’s Comments: A slightly cooler and wetter growing season a long and beneficial ripening season, requiring less ripeness to produce maximum flavour. Grapes from Willunga and Sellicks Hill areas of McLaren Vale on heavy clay-loam soils. Matured in American and French oak for 18 months
