Introduced in France in the fifteenth century, the apricot was only really adopted three centuries later. The fleshy fruits from the Mont du Lyonnais (near Lyons) are harvested very ripe once the summer sunshine has guaranteed their sugar content and beautiful orangy-red colour.

This aromatised white wine includes a maceration of wild cherries, cinchona bark (quinine), lemon and cherry juice in neutral spirit with measured amounts of cherry brandy. Created in 1884 by Mr. Auguste Maurin in Le Puy, an Italian artist later designed the smirking green devil as a feature on the label (he seems very satisfied to have procured a bottle!) Expect wild berry and lemon flavours finishing with a tart display of bitter, earthy, floral notes. Try it chilled, on ice, with soda or add to cocktails (e.g. substitute it for Campari in a Negroni). 16% Alc./Vol

Unique association of 11 botanicals including the gentian root cultivated in the Massif Central, gin is distilled in small batches, in a bain-marie in the historic stills of the Gentiane SALERS. This slow distillation at low temperature preserves all the delicacy of the aromatics. The bitterness of the gentian is thus erased to extract the floral expression of its original terroir. Tasting Notes: Nose: Intense with notes of citrus and cardamom enhanced by notes of juniper. Its Flavour: Spicy finish of pepper, ginger and gentian.
