Peregrine's Pinot Gris serves up some interest that goes beyond New Zealand's most famous white variety. Instead of kiwifruit and gooseberries, savour Pinot Gris' poached pears and red apples. This is unashamedly full bodied, with a broad nose of refreshing and bright aromas of ripe yellow stone fruits and citrus fruits along with an edge of creamy and nutty barrel-ferment and spicy oak notes, subtle lemon-curd and buttery notes. The palate has flavours of citrus fruits melded with creamy barrel-ferment and nutty, spicy oak.

Fruit flavours are in the cool to moderate spectrum of citrus, white flowers, ripe grapefruit and melon. The style is mid-weight with elegant oak nicely tucked in, providing texture and lingering flavours of cashew, roasted almond and gun flint. The structure has a tight shape with the finesse and concentration that are hallmarks of Trinity Hill Chardonnay. It displays delicacy but richness and the beautifully linear acidity makes it a fantastic match with food. An excellent partner with white meats and seafood dishes.
