Joh jos prum Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling-Spatlese
Named of the sundial erected in the vineyard in 1842, Wehlener Sonnenuhr is the most famous vineyard in the Mosel. Extremely steep with optimal south-south west exposure, it yields fragrantly floral wines with ripe stone fruit aromas, underlying slately minerality and wonderful depth of flavour and structure. The Spatlese wines are very reticent in youth, blossoming between two and four years of age to display vibrant green apple, and white stone-fruit notes supported by a backbone of racy acidity.

Joh Jos Prüm Graacher Domprobst Riesling Auslese
Product Description: The Joh. Jos. Prüm Graacher Domprobst Riesling Auslese 2024 is a rare, late-harvest Riesling from the renowned Graacher Domprobst vineyard in Germany’s Middle Mosel. Significantly, the 2024 vintage represents the first Joh. Jos. Prüm release from this historic vineyard site. The wine comes from a small 0.3-hectare parcel acquired from S.A. Prüm, and Auslese was the only classification produced from the parcel in 2024. Graacher Domprobst is recognised as a VDP.GROSSE LAGE® and occupies a protected position directly above the village of Graach. The vineyard rises from approximately 110 to 260 metres above sea level, with steep gradients ranging from 45 to 70 percent. Its southwest-to-south-southwest orientation provides favourable sun exposure, while shelter from prevailing winds helps the grapes reach full ripeness. The soils are composed of grey-blue Devonian slate with a notable proportion of clay, providing both mineral character and valuable water-storage capacity. The grapes were harvested by hand and underwent spontaneous fermentation in stainless-steel tanks. Harvest began on 1 October, with warmer conditions later in the month allowing selected grapes to progress to Auslese ripeness. The wine’s aromatic characteristics include lemongrass, mint, cassis and wet slate. These herbal, dark-fruited and mineral elements give the wine a distinctive profile compared with the more citrus-oriented expressions associated with neighbouring Graacher Himmelreich. At only 7% alcohol, it retains the graceful lightness expected of a finely composed Mosel Auslese despite its ripe fruit concentration. Serve with apricot chicken or Asian summer rolls, where its fruit, freshness and low-alcohol delicacy can complement aromatic flavours. Tasting Notes NOSE – Herbal and mineral-driven Lemongrass, fresh mint, cassis and wet slate. PALATE – Delicate and finely concentrated Blackcurrant fruit, cooling herbs and slate-derived mineral character. FINISH – Cool and persistent Lingering mint, lemongrass and stony freshness. Finer Details: Style – Sweet White Wine Varietal – Riesling Country – Germany Region – Mosel, Graach Vintage – 2024 Bottle Size – 750ml ABV – 7%
Chateau Guiraud
The wine tastes remarkably good: concentrated, aromatic, and complex. The speed with which the grapes became concentrated preserved magnificent vivaciousness. The wines are truly brilliant.
