No need to fly north for this one, it’s glorious drinking in any season.

Angostura Orange Bitters is freshly made from oranges naturally ripened in sun-drenched Caribbean sunshine. Sourced from lush orchards in Trinidad, the oranges are hand-picked by select citrus growers and harvested only within the rainy season to ensure ultimate freshness. Bryan Martin has been producing thought-provoking wines in Murrumbateman wine country since 2001. Their Estate vineyard is managed sustainably, focusing on soil health, and foregoing synthetic chemicals, herbicides, and fertilisers. Fruit is also sourced for their Regional Series from the surrounding Young, Hilltops & Canberra District regions. The 2022 Regional Sangiovese marks the 20th vintage producing this varietal, with fruit sourced primarily from the Hilltops region with a splash of Murrumbateman for elegance. After spending 3 weeks on skins as whole-berries, the wine is pressed to small 5 year old French oak casks for élevage, before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.

One of the most versatile varieties you’ll encounter, our Grigio is zesty with some honeyed tones, crisp and minerally and a touch of pear. The palate has savoury, marzipan flavours with some subtle white flower and talc aromas. Enjoy it nice and chilled within 2-3 years.

The fruit was harvested in the early morning and the juice removed from the skins as soon as possible. The juice was clarified, racked and inoculated with a neutral yeast and fermented in stainless steel at around 14 degrees. We left the finished wine on lees for approximately 10 weeks to give it a little more texture then racked and bottled the wine in early June. We love this variety for its delicious crisp crunchy palate and its delicate pear and pink lady apple flavours. The wine shows complex minerality with a lovely aromatic crispness that make it appealing as a young wine and indicates an ability to age for further complexity.
