Bodegas Borsao is a coming together of 3 progressive cellars in the Campo de Borja zone, sitting just south west of the famous Rioja region. Producing wines of freshness, vibrancy and affordability. Aromas of plum and dark berry fruits with hints of spice, mataro earthiness, licorice and dark chocolate. Flavours of spice and bright red fruits, some savoury earthiness, plum and rich black fruit with oak complexity.

Gabriel Meffre winery was established in 1936. It has since won the repuation as one of the best producers in the southern Rhone. Their Ventoux vineyard is located mainly on the sediment left by the seas of the Tertiary period at the base of the limestone massif of Ventoux. The wine is made from grenache and syrah, each component vinified separately before blending, then maturation in vats for 10 months. The result is a wine with a deep red robe and a purple hue. The nose is enticing with hints of ripe red fruits and spices, and the mouth is elegant and round with a spicy finish. This Ventoux, with its spiciness and fruit expression, will pair nicely with charcuterie, a vegetable curry or lamb colombo.

Characters of red fruits, bright, mocha tinged cherries and natural forest floor layers. This is a very well rounded wine with smooth tannins and long, lingering finish.

This parcel was carefully selected by winemaker, Richard Quodling, for its inimitable quality. True to its name, Richard describes this wine as 'the ultimate Barossa Grenache'. It offers intense, rich flavours of raspberry and red cherry, spice notes and toasty oak.

The Bare Touch wines are made by Cowpunk winemaker Aaron Mercer using early picked grapes, free run juice and a “hands off” non intervention approach. The grapes are naturally lower in alcohol and with far less skin contact than a traditional red wine, the free run juice is bright and vibrant with significantly lower tannins. The hands off winemaking approach allows the fruit to express itself fully whilst building complexity. The result is a range of fresh and elegant wines with a sleek, supple mouthfeel that are perfect to be served with a moderate chill or straight from the fridge.

This Barossa Grenache is bright and fruity. Lifted aromas of raspberry and red cherry with notes of spice. Crunchy acidity with a hint of toasty oak gives this wine texture and style. The perfect match with Crispy Pork and spicy Asian slaw.
