Their Crianza style (aged for at least two years) Tempranillo offers a powerful and complex nose, with notes of fresh fruits, spices, balsamic and toasted oak all perfectly integrated. The palate is structured, round, and balanced, making it an ideal companion to red meats or an assortment of cheeses.

The 2022 Capa Tempranillo from Castilla-La Mancha, Spain, is a true delight for the senses. Upon pouring, the wine reveals a deep ruby red colour with purple undertones, hinting at its youthful vibrancy. The nose is immediately greeted with intense aromas of ripe blackberries, cherries, and plums, accompanied by subtle hints of vanilla and spice from its time spent in oak barrels. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with a velvety texture and well-integrated tannins. Flavours of dark fruits, such as blackcurrants and figs, dance on the tongue, complemented by notes of tobacco and a touch of balsamic. The finish is long and satisfying, leaving a lingering impression of its impeccable balance and complexity. This 2022 Capa Tempranillo showcases the best of the region and is a true testament to the expertise of its Spanish producers.

Crafted in typical Mr Mick style, this wine has subtle French oak, smooth tannins, distinctive varietal characters of strawberries and red cherries, a hint of spice and a long lingering finish.

Chris Taylor and his Quattro Mano wines have certainly made their mark on the modern Australian wine scene. Using 'alternate' Mediterranean varieties like this Tempranillo, Taylor handcrafts flavoursome and yet medium to full-bodied wines of utmost character. This Novillo Temp is choc full of dark berries, liquorice and that traditional hint of cola. Simply delectable.

An authentic style of Tempranillo with well resolved tannins and great length of flavour. Some new American oak maturation has imparted a rich toasty vanillin oak note to balance the spicy cherry fruit and earthy flavours of the variety.

The Tar & Roses Tempranillo is a great example of what 20 year old Tempranillo vines are achieving in Australia. On the nose there are juicy rich mulberries, freshly dug earth with hints of blackcurrant and aniseed. The palate has impressive length, balance and structure.
