Limited to 240 bottles, this release is once again an extraordinary pairing of peated casks from two highly respected Australian mainland distilleries. A marriage of second-fill premium Bourbon and Apera, the peated single malts from these casks were carefully integrated to ensure a balance between the Fleurieu Distillery’s sweet peat and Black Gate’s iconic iodine finish. This innovative single malt whisky comprises whisky from American and French oak casks slowly gravity fed through the 500 litre Puncheons with the last two being premium Muscat casks. The result is a well rounded approachable single malt that has the oak features of vanilla, dark chocolate and spice with the overlay of Muscat sweetness. Tasting notes Nose: Begins with a mix of plum and stewed rhubarb and then develops into sweeter notes of honeycomb and caramelised sugar. Lingering tones of subtle leather and sherbet.
