V&A Lane Shiraz showcases a contrasting wine style from one of the most beloved grape varietals. Margarey Lane produces a limited selection of premium wines from Limestone Coast vineyards, including the heart of Coonawarra itself, from the renowned Reschke vineyard.Deep, dark red. Plum, mulberry, currant and toasty oak. Rich dark berry and sweet oak entry, in a fleshy and very flavoursome style, yet remains quite elegant, with attractive savoury complexity, and a concentrated, flavoursome finish.

The Author pays homage to pioneering vigneron John Riddoch (1827-1901). A true visionary, Riddoch is regarded as one of the founding fathers of Australian wine. An influential figure, he established The Coonawarra Fruit Colony in 1890 and a synonymous with the region’s story. The Author represents the finest expression of the vintage. Made from fruit from a vineyard situated from the warmer end of the region in the northern part of Coonawarra. The vineyard is 20 to 25 years, with a mixture of red loam over limestone and ironstone, with the fruit machine picked. Intense dark fruits with integrated oak that lets the fruit shine. A finish of gently refined tannins that complement the fruit.

Inky yet vibrant blackberry, black pepper, earth, eucalypt and savoury oak. Delivers bright dark fruit power with deluxe barrel integration, a vibrant and latent black fruit core, and deep structural tannins.

This Merlot is medium to full bodied, displaying bold notes of black dark cherry and plum. The palate is lengthy and generous, followed by layers of vanilla bean and hints of mocha to finish.
