Located in the heart of Western Australia’s renowned Margaret River wine region, the Pierro locality, owned and managed by Dr Mike Peterkin, has a viticultural pedigree second to none. Besides making award-winning Chardonnay of distinctive character, Mike also produced the first Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blend in Australia. The Pierro reds are now among the very best in the region. Each parcel is hand-picked, chilled, hand-sorted and whole bunch pressed. There are multiple picks for this wine. With the first batches being picked for aromatic complexity and acidity, and the latter being picked for flavour and texture. Each batch is kept separate and inoculated with different yeasts depending on the variety and date picked. During this time a quarter of the wine is fermented in French oak barriques for 2-3 months for mouthfeel and texture. These different elements combine as a whole to provide an incredible amount of complexity to the final wine. The separate batches are then combined and left on fermentation lees for 3-4 months prior to bottling. A light dry wine, delicious when young but has the capacity and backbone to mature and develop in the bottle. Flavours of citrus, pear, green apple, melon and tropical fruit. Fresh, crisp and dry with both complexity and elegance. An ideal accompaniment to seafood and white meat dishes.

There is the typical varietal characters of lanolin along with fennel, subtle quince and creamy lees.Palate Rich with a soft creamy texture and balanced acidity. Viticulture - Fruit is sourced from neighbouring properties in the northern Yallingup sub-region of Margaret River. Direct input from Forester’s viticulturist ensures well balanced canopies and crops are grown for the ripe style desired. The 2024 vintage was a warm year for white grapes in Margaret River, allowing plenty of time during January and February to ripen the fruit to our specification. Winemaking - Modern white winemaking techniques are employed in the production of the Lifestyle Chenin Blanc, with temperature control considered critical from the moment the fruit reaches the winery. The fruit is destemmed and crushed, then must chilled and pressed off skins in a very short space of time. The clarified juice is then racked to a fermentation tank where a selected yeast strain is added. All tanks are stirred on lees during their maturation period for 3 months before blending and bottling. Storage & Bottling - Bottled under screwcap into a Burgundy bottle.

This is a wonderfully concentrated wine. Complex on the nose with aromas of lemon, green apple and fig the palate shows lively flavours of citrus and melon and a beautifully textured crisp and long finish.

Barrel fermentation and maturation in French oak barriques with partial malolactic has imparted texture and complexity to the minerally grapefruit flavours of this Chardonnay from WA's south-west corner.

Umamu Estate only releases their wines when theyve had time to develop in the bottle and this Sauvignon Blanc Semillon is drinking beautifully now. In the glass: Beautifully vibrant bright lemon with a still-youthful green tint. On the nose: Lifted mix of toast and honey development. On the palate: Rich and beautifully developed with a lovely warm core of buttered toast, preserved lemon and lemon curd in a terrifically textured, layered and complex wine. So remarkably fresh and complex.

Pale Amber colour. Very complex aromas already with orange bitters, almonds and a hint of honeysuckle. This wine has a textural and concentrated palate with great length and persistence. Delightful notes of orange, toffee and gentle saltiness on the finish. It is a tannic wine. This new release of our Amber wine is a blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc selected from our certified Biodynamic vineyard. The wine was left on the skins and fermented partially before being pressed off. The skin maceration went from 9 days to 44 days depending on the parcel. The fruit was processed in different vessels: open fermenters, closed tanks as well as amphorae. This explains some of the complexity and the many layers of this wine. We look at it being a natural step in creative as well as artisanal winemaking. On the advice of eminent agronomist Dr. John Gladstones, Dr. Kevin and Diana Cullen planted a trial acre of vines at Wilyabrup, Margaret River in 1966. Commencing in 1971, 18 acres of vines were planted on their sheep and cattle farm, including their first Cabernet Sauvignon vines. Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Semillon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc were planted between 1976 and 1978.

Pale straw colour with nettles, limes, guava and tropical fruits combine to produce a complex nose, which is enhanced with some butterscotch lees characters. The palate is vibrant and fresh with a lovely concentration of tropical and subtle tropical flavours. The wine finishes with persistence and a lingering attractive textural flavour.

They've always loved the raw possibilities and natural outcomes of minimal intervention winemaking, and have worked over the years to source fruit with lower impact and gentler farming - which they believe is the future for wine. Mon Tout Heydays Chardonnay 2022 vintage comes with another change up this year with Mount Barker dictating even more of the style than the 2020 release, yet Heydays is still overtly, beautifully and enticingly Chardonnay. Delicate floral aromas of honeysuckle, apricot, and lemon zest. Flavours of stone fruit, lychee and pear combine in a silky and seamless manner. The fine, mineral acidity and oak tension adds restraint, texture and length.
