Balfour Winery is based on the Hush Heath Estate in Kent, the warmest and driest country in England. The estate comprises 400 acres of vineyards, orchards, and woodlands. The vineyards were first planted in 2002 and by 2007, their first wine - the 2004 Balfour Brut Rose - had won a gold medal at the Wine Challenge. The 1503 Classic Cuvee is named after the year Hush Heath Manor was built. It is a blend of 55% Chardonnay, 34% Pinot Noir, and 11% Pinot Meunier. Pale gold in appearance, with aromas of fresh citrus, red apples, and subtle toasted brioche characters. Beautifully balanced on the palate with lemony acidity, crisp apple and subtle notes of thyme, finishing with a classic, traditional method toastiness. WINE PANEL NOTE: An attractive nose of lemon, white nectarine, white flowers, supported by subtle, savoury biscuit notes. Very creamy and rich on the palate, with sweet, pulpy citrus balanced by lemony acidity and subtle lime pith. A wonderfully balanced and approachable introduction to English sparkling wine. Crafted by chief winemaker Ed Carr, House of Arras Brut Elite Cuvée 1901 Rosé draws on pristine, cool-climate Tasmanian vineyards. This multi-vintage sparkling blends Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. Extended tirage maturation builds textural depth and secondary character, bringing subtle sourdough and brioche notes beneath lifted red fruit drive. A low dosage preserves natural acidity and structural balance, leading to a firm, dry finish with clean persistence. Cuvée 1901 represents benchmark Tasmanian sparkling performance, delivering house style precision, prestige and remarkable value for your cellar or table.

The wine is immediately appealing on the nose showing brightly fruited notes of lemon peel, white fleshy nectarine and grapefruit with a subtle touch of sweet basil leaves. It is juicy and vibrant on the palate with youthful fruit intensity together with crisp acidity, finishing long and mouth-watering.

The nose leads with freshly picked strawberriesand cream, and pink grapefruit. The palate shows restraint with delicate strawberry fruit, bright and elegant minerality, grapefruit pith, and a soft supple lingering finish.

Crafted in the distinctive Redbank style, it's fruit forward, dry, crisp and teeming with complexity. The nose shows aromas of orange blossom, sherbet and citrus with a subtle note of strawberry. The palate shows clean and fresh natural acidity with notes of white stone fruit and lemon zest. As this wine ages it is developing its complexity with nougat and brioche notes appearing all while still having that classic Redbank backbone of natural acidity.

Fred Pizzini grew up in Italy and is bringing the taste of his homeland to the Australian dining table. His Sangiovese is one of the best examples in the country, with spicy, savoury fruit hiding a vein of mouth watering acid that is a hallmark of the variety. Delicious now - and will get better with bottle age!
