The cool climate region, with maritime influences, is ideal for Cabernet, allowing the fruit to ripen slowly over an extended period to achieve the desired physiological ripeness.A cool growing season and above average winter rains leading into the 2017 vintage saw the region return to what could be best described as a more traditional Coonawarra vintage. The cool season produced medium bodied red wines of deep colour and elegant fruit flavours.Tasting notes:Colour: Medium intensity with bright purple hue.Nose: Generous and lifted, showing complex aromas of cherry liquor and mulberry fruits complemented by notes of mint and spice.Palate: Medium bodied with distinctive ripe dark fruits and classic spicy cassis finishing with background French oak characteristics.

The Parker Coonawarra Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is made in a riper, more generous style to its peers, yet with enough restraint to display the distinct varietal and regional characteristics. Offerings of ripe blackberry and damson plums, wafts of warm earth, iodine, mint and black olives. The palate shows a lot of restraint and freshness, fuller bodied not big though with determined tannins. A solid performer not just a backup singer.

In 2013, we decided to put aside some excellent wine to be released with bottling age for the first time in winery history. Cabernet Sauvignon seems to be the most obvious choice for aging purpose. Coonawarra had an excellent vintage in 2013, which was characterised by a warm, dry summer and then cool autumn. ThisShiraz is carefully crafted from fruit grown on our Riddoch Run Estate Vineyard. This fresh winedisplays dark forest fruits, cassis, pepper and spices, framed in bright aromatic oak.Fresh blueberries, rhubarb and dark chocolate are on show, along with a good depth of flavour, ripe and supple tannins provide a long finish.

Lifted aromas of vanilla and spicy oak are exhibited in this Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep flavours of blackcurrant and mulberry fruit, followed by hints of nutmeg, lingering chocolate oak and balanced tannin, lead to an elegant finish. Beautifully paired with slow roasted lamb or rich duck dishes.

The vintage gods smiled ever so well on the majority of the vineyard area of South Australia during the 2008 vintage and the result are wines like this little beauty from Jamiesons Run. A brilliant wine of richness and sweetness upon release, time in our climate controlled cellars has amplified those secondary characters of herb, cedar and mocha to deliver a perfectly balanced, and affordable cellared wine.

Notes of dark chocolate, mocha, espresso and forest floor sit alongside bold blackcurrant fruit and cedar nuances. The finish is long and sustained.
