De Bortoli Noble One Botrytis Semillon

Langton's Classification: Excellent

The Noble One by De Bortoli is considered Australia's premier dessert wine, and for obvious reasons. The wine has won countless awards at the leading wine shows around the country and has a wonderful propensity to develop even further in the bottle. The 2002 Noble One is a classic expression of the style with rich apricot treacle characters with fig and orange blossom still active on the nose and palate. Hints of vanilla bean and a refreshing acidity on the finish mean this decade old wine will continue to live in the cellar for many years more.

A stellar Icewine which encompasses fantastic aromas of floral notes, honey, candied orange peel, peach and apricot. You'll find intense flavours of Pineapple, lychee, and honey on the palate, as well as a voluptuous texture. A truly delicious dessert wine.

Calabria Pedro Ximenez & Semillon; a luscious, fortified wine of exceptional quality, wonderfully rich and decadent. Raisins, figs, dates and marmalade together with hints of rancio and banoffee pie. A dessert in itself, serve slightly chilled, though combining exceptionally well with ice-cream, blue cheese & charcuterie or even sticky ribs.

Chalmers Moscato Giallo Appassimento Murray Darling

his labour of love resulted in a wine that is luscious and exotic, with yellow box honey-soaked dried Muscatels, treacle, bacon maple, super lifted aromatics of orange blossom, perfumed wattle and coriander seed. The mouth is opulent, with baked figs, burnt English toffee, caramelised onion, short crust pastry, shitake mushroom and umami. It’s a food pairing delight, perfect with those baked desserts, pear tarte tatin, spit roasted pineapple and a mouldy cheese match made in heaven. The finish is uber long and unrelentless, balance nicely with a weft of bright tangy citrus. This will age very well, the longer you keep it, the more savoury it will become, masking the sugar into more of those umami, bacon and mushroom notes. - Chalmers

Dal Zotto is a family run winery in the King valley specialising in traditional Italian varietals. Their Barbera is a great example of the variety with ripe blood plums, spice, and a meaty savouriness. A great food friendly style - add a splash to boost your bolognaise!

A vibrant lemony acidity with a full and rich mid-palate leads to slaty, mineral finish.

Punt Road Shiraz

One of the Yarra Valley's up and comers, the Punt Road Shiraz is almost black in colour with aromas of cassis and a whiff of licquorice. A palate of plush plums and blackcurrant follows with flash of peppery spice. Kate Goodman continues to do a stellar job at one of the Yarra Valley's best wineries.
