The Coffey Still is the worlds first patented continuous still invented by Mr. Aeneas Coffey in 1830. Inspired by traditional Rock & Rye recipes, Hochstadters Slow and Low combines a master blend of aged rye whiskies, three citrus peels: lemon, grapefruit and orange before being infused with a tiny amount of 100% raw, local honey and pure cane rock candy - creating a drink similar to an Old Fashioned. The drink itself is mellow with slightly sweet flavours exceptionally balanced with citrus, grapefruit and rock candy notes. More approachable, but still definitely Talisker. Talisker Skye was introduced in early 2015, named after the beautiful island on which the distillery resides. This expression brings with it a more well-rounded and sweet flavour profile packed with fresh citrus, sweet smoke, peppery spice and traditional Talisker maritime notes. It's matured in a combination of refill and toasted American oak casks, with a slightly higher proportion of toasted casks.
