McLaren Vale's Dog Ridge is well known for their highly-prized old vines, and these few hand-selected French barrels of DogRidge Shiraz are made exclusively from the pre-clonal Original Plantings at DogRidge from the 1940s. DogRidge is co owned by Dave and Jen Wright, and Fred and Sarah Howard. Dave is the Viticulturist, Fred the winemaker, and they certainly make a winning team!

This Terre Rouge is a siren song for classic red lovers, an invitation of rich and full flavours, soft spice tannins, sophisticated complexity and refined elegance. This debut Terre Rouge joins the reserve range, a limited edition from select vintages over the years. Handpicked Shiraz fruit was gently crushed and chilled before being fermented in French vats. After 3 days of cold soaking, the juice spent another 14 days on skins with twice-daily hand plunging. We then softly pressed it into French barrels before spending 2 months maturing.
