The Tate family are one of the most famous wine names in Western Australia, especially in Margaret River. It was the Tate family who began Evans & Tate decades ago and today the Tate name is re-born under the Franklin Tate Estates label. Franklin, son of John, has sourced some of the most prestigious vineyard sites in Margaret River and has highly regarded winemaker Rory Clifton-Parks to hand-craft the quality wines, like this traditional Chardonnay.

This Madfish Sauvignon Blanc Semillon has alluring aromas of guava, nashi pear, citrus zest with a hint of white floral on the nose. Named after the patriarch of the Tate family, the Alexanders Vineyard Chardonnay is sourced from the heart of Margaret River and was chosen due to Chardonnay's love and suitability to the region. Rich and complex buttered notes are blended together with a citrus precision that permeates the entire palate. A brilliant example of premium Margaret River Chardonnay.

Ripe stone fruit, melon and pear with intense shortbread, brioche and toasted bread notes from time spent maturing on yeast lees. Rich, full and seamless. Creamy, ripe stone fruits fill the mouth on entry, with lovely shortbread and brioche flavours adding richness and complexity. This full flavoured wine is a classic style that rewards with long flavours and length but remaining in complete balance from the first sip to the last drop.

Xanadu Fusion Chardonnay gives an elegant bouquet full of pears, grapefruit and gala apples with underlying hints of nougat and cashew. The palate is medium bodied displaying white fleshed stone fruits and zesty citrus flavours. The wine offers an almost crystalline minerality, complimented by a lovely creamy/marshmallow texture derived from lees stirring whilst in barrel. Taut and fresh, the bright fruit and crisp acidity combine to focus the wine perfectly to a lingering fruit finish.

Since 1976 the iconic Marri tree line has featured on the Cape Mentelle labels. These stalwart trees filter the summer breezes, protecting the vines and ensuring optimal ripening conditions for this range of fresh, vibrant wines. This wine displays lovely tropical and ripe stone fruit characters, which carry through to a textural and inviting palate.

Notes of gunflint and citrus, further complexed with ripe stone fruits and understated oak result in a wineof great complexity and mineral drive.

Brilliant and very light typical of young Sauvignon Blanc. Pungent, fresh aromas that Sauvignon Blanc from Margaret River is renowned for aromas of gooseberry, lime zest and grass overlaid by freshly cut passionfruit. A juicy, succulent wine that fills the palate with flavour on entry with a long, zippy citric finish.

After decades of strong consistent wines, this is the one Evans & Tate are best known for. The long, dry palate gets a burst of fruit flavour from the 50% Semillon, with Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc adding a layer of depth. Perfect with barbecued seafood.
