Matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks, fiercely charred, and jam packed with smoke, this limited release is not one to be missed. This whisky is a bright, brushed gold colour in the class. Aromas of smoke and soot lie in wait with hints of aniseed and patchouli. Add a drop of water to reveal herbal notes of sage, briarwood, and pine wisp. Great Southern Distillery Limeburners Sherry Cask Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky has been matured in ex-bourbon American oak barrels and finished in an old Australian Sherry cask. From here it is transfer straight from barrel to bottle, creating a full and intense flavour. When served neat, this whisky has fruit and spice aromas, but add a splash of water and you get malted barley, honey and vanilla mixed with buttery caramel and raisins. Mackmyra Moment Virvelvind Swedish Single Malt Whisky

Mackmyra was Sweden’s first whisky distillery and 20 years after being established continues to innovate and evolve. Moment Virvelvind is the last expression in the exclusive Moment series where the unique and special casks get the attention they deserve in very limited editions. To close the circle, Moment Virvelvind got its inspiration from the first edition (Moment Medvind). A slightly peated whisky with red apples, pear and fresh citrus tones and of course, Swedish oak as the backbone. A grand finale to say the least. The casks used for the Mackmyra Moment Virvelvind include 1st fill Bourbon, 2nd fill Olorosso and Svensk Ek Whisky barrels. The nose is of sweet fruit in the shape of pears and red apples and balanced by distinct citrus, vanilla and muscovado sugar, all surrounded by a veil of smoke. The palate is of soft oak tones and bitter orange with vanilla fudge and ripe pear complemented with a light smoke of peat and juniper. The finish is long with tones of juniper and lime with tobacco leaves and oak.

The Nikka 12 Year Old Blended Japanese Whisky is the product of two distilleries (Yoichi and Miyagikyo). This is a well-balanced blend and the result of 'the art of blending and craftsmanship'. It's also awarded 'Best Blended 12 Year Old ' at the 2016 World Whiskies Awards.

The Glendronach Parliament 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Established in 1826 by James Allardice the Glendronach distillery was one of the first licensed distilleries in Scotland. The GlenDronach is borne of the landscape and natural ingredients that surround, from the soft Highland water drawn from the underwater springs in the Balnoon hills to the Scottish malted barley sourced from our trusted partners. The hallmark of the distillery is the marriage of robust Highland spirit with the finest Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks from Andalucia in Spain. This exquisite duality brings exceptional depth, complexity, and character to their whiskies. Matured in a combination of the finest Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks for a minimum of 21 years, the ‘Parliament’ continues the great Glendronach tradition of offering fruit-laden intensity in its single malts. This rich expression has been named ‘Parliament’ after the colony, or ‘parliament’, of rooks that have been nesting in the trees that overlook the Glendronach distillery for almost 200 years. In the glass, this single malt is a deep amber colour with a cherry wood sheen. A delicate mix of ripe autumnal fruits on the nose - notably blackberries and red plums. Rich Oloroso sherry and candied orange segments. Spiced oatmeal biscuits and toasted oak fragrances bring excellent weight and balance. Resolute flavours of fine Oloroso sherry and bitter chocolate sauce, which has been spread liberally over homemade plum pudding. This is all infused with fabulous spicy notes - cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg. Full bodied with smooth tannins.

Kavalan Solist Madeira Single Malt Taiwanese Whisky (Australian Exclusive Release)

In ancient times, the land around I-Lan in Taiwan was called Kavalan, a mysterious land that was solely inhabited by the indigenous people of the Kavalan clan. The name was officially recognized by the Emperor of the Chin dynasty in the year of 1809 when the original city was also built under the same name. Kavalan had always been kept primitive and protected from the outside world by the Syue-shan mountain range which is abundant in high quality natural water that comes from deep within the mountain range. The mists of Kavalan and the spirits of the past have been created for you in this exquisite whisky. The process water is drawn from the springs in the Snow Mountain and Central Mountains imparting a smooth and creamy mouth feel to the whisky. Madeira is a rich fortified wine made on the Portuguese Madeira Islands, where the wine is aged and oxidized through heat. Kavalan’s tropical new make extracts the many rich fruit notes from the wine cask to create an irresistibly sweet yet delicate whisky. This cask of Solist Madeira, cask number D150514027A, was chosen and bottled exclusively for Australia, with only 211 bottles released.
