Award winning wines have been the modus operandi for the Tate family since the mid-70s. That pedigree and know-how can be tasted in this bottle of hand crafted Margaret River Cabernet Merlot. Regional notes of bay leaf, eucalypt and dry, tannins are supported by a lush and vibrant blue and black fruit backbone that continues on the palate for what seems like a lifetime. Traditional open fermentation was employed followed by maturation in French oak barriques for 20 months, prior to bottling. The wine displays a lifted aromatics of black fruits and violets, along with some cedary oak nuances. The concentrated palate has a lovely silky texture, showing chocolate and cassis flavours and a wonderfully long finish.

Fresh blackberry aromas with hints of plum, spice and dark chocolate. Full- bodied, with a dark berry mid-palate with a silky structured finish of fine grained tannins and rich toasty oak to give a long lingering finish.

This has all the elements of a quality wine – the presence and power of varietal fruit flavours combined with palate weight to provide depth and length of flavour. Brick Red 2018 Shiraz is a very dark garnet colour. Aromas of red berries and plums with hints of varietal pepper make up this complex bouquet. The palate is well structured with rich sweet berries and plum fruit, integrated with fine tannins making this a rich full bodied wine. Aged in fine oak barrels for 12 months it is now ready to drink. It will show further development with aging over the next 6 years to enrich the wine.

This is a vibrant red wine, with flavours of rich red and dark berry fruit. The finish is soft with vanilla oak and fine tannins creating good balance and length.
