Or Brokenwood Graveyard Shiraz

The intensely perfumed, sumptuous and seductive Brokenwood Graveyard articulates the very best of Hunter Shiraz.

Schild Estate Three Springs Single Vineyard Barossa Valley Shiraz

Another Barossa Valley beauty from the impressive Schild Estate with Gold and two 96pt scores! . "...opulent aromas ... Full bodied and lush with a curtain of powdery tannin and a beautiful créme-de-cassis-like flow to the fruit. There's lots of latent power and fruit depth on display here but nothing feels heavy or overdone. 96pts.” (Dave Brookes, The Halliday Wine Companion). “Gosh, this is a good wine... from the first aromas of perfumed dark fruits... the plush plummy fruit characters come together with spice and dark chocolate rolling effortlessly off the palate as it gathers momentum to a long finish. Classy wine here. 96pts”. (Ken Gargett WinePilot). The Three Springs vineyard is where the original Schild family homestead is located. situated on historic Narrow Road in Rowland Flat, this vineyard sits at 380 metres above sea level. Vineyards at this altitude are traditionally much lower yielding and produce fruit of the highest quality.

Wolf Blass Platinum Label Shiraz

Back in 1998 Chief Winemaker, Chris Hatcher, decided it was time to take Wolf Blass into the modern world and the result was a single varietal Shiraz that was 100% aged in French Oak, unlike their famous flagship the Black Label which is a blend and aged in American Oak. A wonderful contemporary version of Wolf Blass that is a cavalcade of rich blueberry, blackberry and complex elements of dark chocolate and warm spice. Superbly long on the palate with an obvious hint to a long future in the cellar.

Travis Earth 908 Shiraz Mataro

Torbreck The Struie

This Torbreck Shiraz cuvée is a skilful blend of fruit from a 40 year old Eden Valley Shiraz vineyard and an 80 year old Barossa Shiraz vineyard – a marriage of elegance and intensity. While the Eden Valley region is most associated with the white wine variety,;Riesling, it also produces elegant, tautly structured Shiraz which is highly prized by winemakers.

Teusner Righteous Grenache

The now much sought after Righteous range of wines from Kym Teusner was first established in 2005 with the Grenache and this is the latest incarnation of this foreboding Barossa wine. Sourced from an 80 year old bush-vine vineyard, the Righteous Grenache was gently crushed and fermented in open fermenters with regular pump-overs. Maturation was completed in a mix of French and American oak and has resulted in a modern classic Grenache.

Schild Estate Barossa Valley Moorooroo Shiraz

Deep ruby, purple in colour showing intense and creamy aromas of dark compote berry fruit with hints of blackberry, plums and mulberries peeking through. On the palate waves of the same dark berry fruit show early providing a density and voluptuousness to the mouth-feel that remains deep into the mouth and rolls out through the back. It is joined by just a hint of spice and some subtle glimpses of faint leather and sandalwood.

Taylors The Pioneer Clare Valley Shiraz

Greenock Creek Roennfeldt Road Shiraz

Langton's Classification: Outstanding

Although this wine is plush, dense and rich, it possesses a compelling percussion and balance. Right up there with Grange and Hill Of Grace as one of Australia's best Shiraz, and from one of the greatest vintages too!
