Lark Hill Biodynamic Shiraz Viognier

The Canberra District has quickly established itself as the Australian home of Northern Rhône style reds, and most notably Shiraz Viognier. With the cool-climate and the elevated nature of the Lark Hill Vineyards, the extra viscosity attributed to the addition of Viognier to the Shiraz as well as the fragrant lift, work perfectly for this wine.

Nick O'Leary Bolaro Shiraz

Complex aromas of white pepper, fennel seed and freshly cut red fruits. The alluring sweetness reveals itself fully albeit integrated with the wines, spicy, savoury character and beautiful tight but silky tannins. A single vineyard wine sourced from the Fischer vineyard. Grapes were hand harvested at 13 Baume and processed into 1.5tonne open fermenters with 45% whole-bunches, balance whole berries. Matured in 35% new French barriques (Troncais forrest) balance in seasoned French barriques for 10 months. Bottled in March 2018. Lerida Estate Lake George Shiraz Viognier

The Canberra District and the Rhone blend of Shiraz and Viognier have been famous bedfellows for the past few decades - for good reason. The unique terroir is harnessed wonderfully by the team at Lerida Estate at their Lake George vineyard and the result is this remarkably intense red wine. Cold soaked, co-fermented with hand plunging and then left to rest on skins for 10 days before resting in French oak for 15 months. It is no wonder flavours of freshly stewed plums, cinnamon, pepper, apricot and vanilla are simply bursting out of the glass.

Clonakilla O'Riada Shiraz

Sourced from vineyards surrounding Canberra, the Clonakilla O'Riada Shiraz has been lovingly embraced as little brother to the iconic Shiraz Viognier. Also co-fermented with a touch of Viognier, the O'Riada shows a more fruit forward presence, yet still with that unmistakable Tim Kirk elegance and purity that is a theme throughout all of his wines.

Mount Majura Shiraz

An elegant and fine-boned cool climate Shiraz from the emerging wine region of the Canberra District. The wine is packed with spicy aromatics from pepper and bay leaf to marzipan and violets. Red fruit flavours run to blackberry and beef stock, carried by savoury, grainy tannins.

Collector Marked Tree Red Shiraz

This Shiraz wine by Collector lively crimson colour is accompanied by a fragrant bouquet of dark cherry, blackberry, pepper and aniseed, with a savoury, textured mouth feel.

Altera Terra Sanctus Shiraz

A cool climate Shiraz that resembles many of the finest french examples. Lovely graphite notes, pepper, spices, and elegant fruit weaved in for good measure. Medium bodied. Elegant and age-worthy.

This Shiraz Viognier has aromas of spice, red fruit and cedar. It is very aromatic with the same spiced fruit flavour persisting throughout the palate.

Quarry Hill Sea of Stones Sparkling Shiraz

Made with 25% whole bunches, the base wine for this vintage was given 20 months in a mix of old and new French oak before tirage bottling in early 2016. It then spent 22 months on lees before being finished in late 2017. It's a bright, rich red-purple in the glass with a generous but fine mousse, featuring aromas of spice, red fruit and dark berries. The palate is full, soft and silky with flavours of blackcurrant, plum and mulberry which are complemented by fine tannins and a long, dry finish. The wine was given a restrained level of dosage, making for a dryer style of Sparkling Shiraz that allows the quality of the base vintage to show through.

Lark Hill Biodynamic Pinot Noir

Lark Hill have a history in the Canberra District region of over 30 years and today that legacy has been continued on by founder's Sue & Dave Carpenter's son, Chris. Located 30km North East of Canberra, Lark Hill's wines are certified bio-dynamic and have an ethereal, almost pure nature to them. The Pinot Noir is delightfully fragrant alongside a earthy backbone that is perfect for most game dishes.
