Gin is created using limonene, one of the main compounds found in cannabis plants. The limonene adds an ultra-rich profile to the spirit, mingling alongside notes of juniper, mandarin and lime, and finishing with soft spice. Limonene is also found in citrus peel and is said to have anti-inflammatory properties which can be used to relieve stress and naturally decrease anxiety and depression.

Delving further into the abundance of native treasures at the Australian National Botanic Gardens, Ad Crescendum var Flosferam Native Gin continues our collaboration with the gardens. This gin is quintessentially Australian, representative of our native flora and highlighting the importance of conservation at the gardens. The nose is crisp and piney. Made using a tradition family recipe and Queensland barley aged for 7 years in ex redwine reconditioned French Oak barriques with American oak heads. This whisky displays rich luxurious amber colour, sweet honey and spice on the nose. Complex sherry, port and vanilla on the palate. Perfect for celebrating births, weddings, wakes and anything in between.

Besides the Juniper, my aim with this Gin was to only use Tasmanian native botanicals. I discovered some very impressive native berries, leaves and seeds however they could only be wild harvested which meant I could not get enough quantity to make it practical enough for an ongoing production. I have still been able to use some Tasmanian native botanicals however I have now broadened the list to only Australian native botanicals (plus the Juniper). The use of 6 Native Australian botanicals with 3 of them never used before in any other Gin is found in this Gin.All of the botanicals are vapor infused which is a technique not used too often with Australian Gins. Vapor infusion (as opposed to steeped) will give the Gin a much more delicate and subtle bouquet. The Gin was designed to have a Beautiful smell. There will be delicate petal and citrus aromas with a hint of freshly cut hay.
