Cloudy Bay Te Koko is an individual expression of the sauvignon blanc grape, a complex and savoury wine that is both deliciously aromatic and richly textured. It is a full-bodied, alternative style of sauvignon blanc. Aromas of lemon thyme, mandarin blossom and stonefruit combine harmoniously with ginger spice and nutty and savoury tones, underlined by exotic tropical notes.

Pascal Reverdy’s domaine is based in the tiny hamlet of Maimbray. Maimbray is located in a valley surrounded by chalk hills adjacent to Chavignol and Verdigny. From their small cellar they produce one of France’s most highly awarded Sancerres’. Brilliant very pale straw colour with a watery hue. Aromas of lime and green apple infused with fresh herbs drift from the glass trailed by some light grassy and stony mineral scents. Lime and green apple fruits abound on the intensely flavoured palate underscored by fresh acidity. Good textural volume in the mouth with herbaceous grassy characters and stony mineral elements lying underneath. The dry, refreshing finish showing ample length. Drink over the next 3-4 years. Since 1884 Beenleigh has been Australia's Rum. Château d'Arche is an important part of Sauternes history with winemaking dating back to the 16th century. New treatments to the wines including maturing the wine for at least two years in casks, 40% of which are new help produce a wine of utmost concentration. The 2009 d'Arche is a seriously powerful wine with copious characters of marmalade, apricot and dense pineapple. Capturing the vintage perfectly, this is a Sauternes that requires a deeply flavoured cheese accompaniment.

Yabby Lake Chardonnay is a fine, elegantly structured Chardonnay which is still developing. Subtle, toasty oak provides a background for the citrus and white peach flavours and the acidity lingers and extends the finish.

Giant Steps plays it's part in the rapid accension of Australian Chardonnay back to the position it once held here. That being of the king of white varieties. This is a very stylish numbe from Phil Sexton and his team. Stonefruit, melon and butterscotch characters are supported by vanillin oak and the palate is long and textured with a clean crisp finish.
