Classic Cabernet aromas of briary, blackberry and blackcurrant, with hints of cedar cigar box. On the palate flavours of liquorice and blackberry with classic fine Cabernet tannins. Made from selected parcels from Moppa Springs Estate around Greenock in the famous Barossa Valley, this wine is typical of the Barossa Cabernet Sauvigon style. A fine, well balanced wine that was aged for 31 months in a combination of French and American oak. Cellar for up to 10 years.

Strong Cabernet traits of black coffee, dark mint chocolate and earthy notes, whilst the Barossa Shiraz shines through the glass with aromas of plum, dark cherry and spice. Vibrant and complex, the Cabernet notes continue on the palate, whilst the thick and luxurious Shiraz provides lovely dark cherry and spice with a smook as cream finish.

The result is a more transparent wine, mid-weighted of feel and flecked with scents of lilac, salumi, clove, iodine and ample blue fruits. A smooth operator in the mouth, with a long glide to the finish, chaperoned by polished tannins and a peppery lilt. The choice of used, rather than new wood, appropriate.
