This wonderful Chardonnay displays an intense bouquet of complex white peach, citrus fruit and minerally undertones. The palate is long, clean and elegant.

This is a newer world style of Chardonnay showing the elegance of fresh cool climate. Once harvested, the fruit was whole bunch pressed with the un-clarified juice that was fermented with inoculated yeast in seasoned French Oak Barriques. The wine by Paringa Estate was barrel stirred fortnightly during the eleven months of maturation and was sulphured early to retain fruit freshness & prevent malolactic fermentation. The bouquet of this wine is a mix nectarine, citrus/orange and complex sulphide solids aromas. The palate has similar fresh citrus & nectarine fruit flavours along with fine acidity. Chardonnay fruit combined with the complexity of barrel fermentation & maturation.

Kooyong Clonale Chardonnay has a complex nose with citrus varietal aromas meshed with classy oak. Seamless and creamy on the palate with long, fine cool-climate flavours. Another cracking wine from Sandro Mosele that just oozes quality.

Hand harvested, hand sorted & whole bunch pressed. Natural fermentation is on high solids with partial malolactic. Barrel fermented in 500-litre puncheons (20% new François Frères), the wine is matured on lees for 10 months before bottling.A bright & punchy Chardonnay; Lemon & grapefruit citrus. Sherbert. Spicy oak. slight lees funkiness. A good lengthy finish.

This Yarra Valley Chardonnay was made from fruit sourced entirely from Medhurst Estate Vineyard. All fruit handpicked whole bunch pressed and fermented in French oak (10% new) where Indigenous fermentation in barrel lasting around one month. We decided to put one third of the blend through MLF to soften the natural acids in this cool and vibrant year. This adds depth and complexity to the pure stone fruit palate. The wine spent 5 months in oak before blending with full solids into tank. The wine was bottled with minimal filtration on August 30th, 2018. Bright pale straw with green hues, extremely vibrant and brilliant in the glass. The nose shows hints of grapefruit and stone fruit, both rich and flavoursome yet subtle. No real oak influence, but plenty of mealy, flinty notes. The palate is poised and powerful, showing off a benchmark Yarra Valley vintage. Again oak in the background it simply helps usher the beautiful pure fruit to the back of an effortless long and fine palate. This wine will look terrific over the medium term.

Barney Flanders’s debut Grenache Blanc is the result of a long-standing admiration for Rhône varietals and a successful collaboration with the Rathjen family in Heathcote. Sourced from southeast-facing vines planted a decade ago in Colbinabbin’s red Cambrian soils over limestone, this small-batch wine highlights the freshness and fine texture Barney is known for. The fruit was hand-picked at optimal ripeness (12-12.5% potential alcohol) and whole-bunch pressed into seasoned 500-litre puncheons. The focus was on preserving the purity and delicate aromatics of the Grenache Blanc, and Barney’s hands-off yet attentive approach has delivered a stunning result. The 2024 Le Stagiaire Grenache Blanc is all about balance. Aromas of white florals and stone fruit lead into a bright, pure palate with hints of peach, citrus, and a subtle saline minerality. The texture is elegant and fine, with a long, refreshing finish that leaves you wanting another sip. An impressive first release that combines freshness, charm, and understated complexity—this is a wine that promises great things to come for Barney’s foray into Grenache Blanc. 93 points"Good perfume, salted pistachio, pear and fresh apricot, and kind of waxy too. It has flesh and plenty of apple and pear flavour, again that saline thing, light dusty texture, some cool mint in with the waxy orchard fruit, hard steeped chamomile tea, preserved lemon, and a finish of good length. This is the third vintage of Ballewindi Chardonnay that Sandro Mosele from Kooyong has produced exclusively for us, and he certainly hasn't dropped the ball. Another cracking Chardonnay that proves he is the master of Mornington. Sandro uses whole bunches and barrel fermenting before letting the wine spend 10 months in French oak. There's peach, fresh sweet hay, subtle notes of cream and honeydew melon on the nose. The palate balances ripe stone fruit flavours with hints of citrus and a creamy texture. It's delicate yet rounded, and is a leading light for modern Aussie Chardonnay.

Yabby Lake Chardonnay is a fine, elegantly structured Chardonnay which is still developing. Subtle, toasty oak provides a background for the citrus and white peach flavours and the acidity lingers and extends the finish.

Attractive coppery pink in the glass. The nose has notes of musk, candied orange peel, fresh blood orange, sour cherry, fresh herbs and a slight Campari twist. Bitter-edged on the palate with that blood orange note, with musky pear, peach and strawberry fruit. It has a soft phenolic texture along with zesty tannins that add a pleasant grip. Finishes dry, clean and tangy. Engaging and moreish, with impressive finesse for this style of wine, and with a good volume of fresh fruit to balance the phenolic and savoury skinsy elements.
