This Pinot gris by Hugel et Fils is rich and rounded, although still dry, it is ideal with terrines, white meats and fish in sauce. Of all the Alsace varieties, Tokay Pinot Gris has the greatest ageing potential.

The fruit for this Onannon Mornington Pinot Gris was handpicked and pressed immediately into the tank. It is then settled overnight and racked to both tank and old barrels. A cool fermentation took place over two months during which the wine was stirred regularly to increase texture. Resulting in wine with great aromas such as ripe pears, mixed stone fruits with hints of cooked green apple in the background. It then leads to a full flavoured, textured palate with a delightful finish.

The wine displays very distinctive fresh pears aromas complemented by light tropical notes. The palate is rich and luscious with delicate fruity flavours, perfectly balanced. From the premium Coal River Valley in Tasmania.

New for Vintage Cellars, Church Road McDonald Series Pinot Gris is a hedonistic style with its rich perfume and texture and a seductive natural sweetness balanced by a touch of spice on the finish. Appealing ripe pear, peach, rose petal, ginger and warm spice aromas are evident on the nose, complimented by subtle creamy complexity. On the palate the wine is lush and full bodied with a moderate level of sweetness balanced by gentle acidity and a touch of ginger spice on the finish.

Mike Alyward has made a bit of a habit of crafting one of our most sought after Pinot Gris in recent times and the current vintage rates as one of his finest. It has a delicious mouth-filling texture, courtesy of some lees aging in old barriques and seamlessly combines fresh floral and pear notes with hints of honeyed complexity.

Lovely mouthfeel is enhanced by the fruit flavours of luscious white nectarine and nashi pear. Crisp and clean on the finish makes this a perfect anytime white, particularly good in the warmer months.
