Dr Onyx Tonic Wax Platinum Old Fashioned
Each 500ml hand-crafted cocktail lid is manually dipped in wax with a silver foil swing tag, presented in a hand wax dripped, thick cardboard cylinder box. As each Gift Box is manually waxed, no two boxes are the same, some minor organic imperfections may be visible.Old Fashioned:The Old Fashioned is said to have been first created at the Pendennis Club, a famous gentlemens club in Louisville, Kentucky in 1881 in honour of Colonel James E. Pepper famed bourbon distiller, who then introduced it to New York high society during his frequent visits to the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel bar in New York. They clearly embraced it, given how the infamous Mad Men had such a taste for it 80 years later in the 1960s Manhattan advertising scene. The Old Fashioned has had a makeover or two over its time. But this smooth, bitter, sweet simplicity of Bulleit Straight Bourbon Whiskey, traditional Angostura Bitters, and sugar cane syrup is a tonic that Don Draper himself would approve of.Serving Suggestions:Serve Dr Onyx Old Fashioned gently swirled in a short glass over ice, with a twist of orange zest. Pinch the zest so the oils spray over the drink before dropping it into the glass.
Starward Unexpeated Single Malt Australian Whisky
Fully matured in Melbourne without a peat bog in sight, now thats UNEXPEATED.Youve never tried a Starward whisky like this before. Peated, smoky whisky barrels meet red-wine-barrel-aged single malt. Islay, Scotland melds with Melbourne, Australia. And old worlds and new worlds collide. We started with our signature red-wine-barrel-aged single malt, its flavour fruit-forward and juicy. Then we swerved from the expected. Heavily-peated whisky barrels direct from Islays finest distilleries would give our whisky a peat character never yet tasted in Starward. In each sip of Unexpeated, ripe red berries meet a coastal peat smoke. Sweet peat lingers in the aroma and lengthy finish.Pair with smoky dishes like trout or grilled eggplant for a flavour sensation. Sip alongside oysters or punchy Roquefort cheese. When you take tradition and make it your own, delicious things happen.

Bakery Hill Double Wood Single Malt Australian Whisky
Bakery Hill is a new Australian venture into the generally exclusive world of Whisky production. We say exclusive, because few distillers outside of Scotland have yet managed to create a whisky that approximates to the quality or style of the Scottish original, or when they have, the whisky has usually relied upon the importation of key ingredients from the ‘homeland’. Bakery Hill’s Single Malts, despite their youth, are very promising initial efforts, and as the spirits spend longer in barrel, one can anticipate some very interesting results. As with classic malts, Bakery Hill uses only malted barley [ from Tasmania ], yeast and water to achieve its flavour and aroma. No caramel is added in order to enhance the appearance. Barrelling at Bakery Hill is done using select second fill American Oak Bourbon barrels. French Oak casks are also used for the production of the classic double wood style. "The malt development on the palate is quite beautiful. A soft distant smokiness adds excellent weight to the lilting malt-oak richness." 46% Alc./Vol. - Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2004.
