Bright, deep garnet. Spice laced, smoky, savory notes dominate when the bottle is first opened. With air aromas transit through black tea, charred meat, green pepper corn, wood smoke and suede, to roasted nuts, red and black cherry and high transient notes of citrus oils and jasmine. Restrained and relatively closed on the palate initially. Mid-weight, with a keen balance of both flesh and bones fruit and structure - tangy dried herb edged fruit opens up to polished, fresh black fruits. Focused and pure, has great line.

Part of Two Hands super-premium, single vineyard range, this classic McLaren Shiraz style has nuanced blueberry, mocha and spice characters. Always made to be plush, rich and smooth, the Lily's Garden never seems to be void of any complexity though. This Two Hands Shiraz is full bodied but very buoyant. Bright flavours are lifted and accented by notes of fresh blue and blackberry with hints of plum. Creamy complexity through the palate adds depth and interesting texture. Palate has great depth and a coating nature but doesnt feel heavy. Tannins start mid-palate and leave a lovely rolling chewy nature. Spicy through the finish with vanilla and sweet baking spices.

Grenache has long been a stalwart of the South Australian wine scene and Penfolds have been blending Grenache with Shiraz since the 1950's. Recent years has seen a growing trend for the luscious perfumed styles like those emanating out of the northern Rhône and the Bin 138 produces a brilliant example. This wine is crafted from hand picked Shiraz grapes from two of the oldest vineyards in the Hunter Valley. Quality fruit produces a beautifully rich and seamless palate of sweet red and blackberry fruit, combined with dense vanilla oak and a chocolatey finish. Ideal fo long term cellering.

A tried and true expression of ripe and generously flavoured shiraz that lets the fruit do the talking rather than excessive oak or alcohol. Traditionally a blend of Barossa and Eden Valley estate grown fruit, there's so much to like here ; delicately scented spice, earth and licorice complexities intertwine with layers of supple, mouth filling blue and black fruits. Senior winemaker Jamie Saint, pursues his passion for the wines of the Barossa through the Barossa Valley Wine Company. He crafts wines of sophistication, each with the perfect balance of elegance, power and grace. Farms is iconic Barossa at its best, a mark if respect to those that have carved out our regions reputation, and a nod to those yet to come. An intense nose of blackberry, black olive, liquorice and cigar box characters leads to a powerful palate of rich blackberry, olive tapenade and vanillin spice with dense, powerful and grippy tannins. Fermented for 7 – 10 days in traditional open top fermenters the wine undergoes malo-lactic fermentation in French and American hogsheads followed by twenty months oak maturation. Enjoy now or will reward with careful cellaring for 10+ years. Awards: • Silver

The wine is intense ruby red in colour and displays classic forest berry fruit aromas. The ripe berry fruits overlaying spicey oak characters which support and add structure to the wine. The aromatic blackberry and blueberry fruits carry to the palate which is opulent and a classic representation of the region. This wine will continue to mature until at least 2036 if stored correctly. Grapes were sourced from Becker Vineyard in the Koonunga sub-region of the Barossa Valley. Four generations of the Becker Family owned the small vineyard until it was recently purchased by the Hoffmann family. The vineyard is sited on deeper loam soils over red clays that follow a small creek that runs through the property.

Blood red in colour with hues showing some maturity. Complex aromas of ground coffee, chocolate and red fruits. The palate still shows the 2012 vintage vibrancy and tension, now layered with complex umami and cedar. This wine is deep, even, long and utterly delicious.
