The awesomely scenic and wildly remote wine regions of West Australia produces fine and elegant Chardonnay grapes for the Howard Park Methode Traditionelle Blanc de Blanc. Pale gold in colour with notes of citrus zest, peach, and freshly baked macaroons. The fine mousse of the palate captures bright flavours of citrus, red berries and baked apple. Time on yeast lees has added creamy lemon curd and subtle wafer biscuit layers of flavour and texture. A wine rich and full of flavour balanced by a fine and gently lingering acidity.

Straw and cut-grass from the sauvignon blanc balance this wine beautifully with gently tropical fruits providing enough acidity to cleanse and draw out the finish. The palate is soft and plush, with long acidity and a strong finish.

The wine is immediately appealing on the nose showing brightly fruited notes of lemon peel, white fleshy nectarine and grapefruit with a subtle touch of sweet basil leaves. 2020 A mild 2020 spring with reasonable rainfall provided excellent growing conditions. A wet November followed by a warm and dry December and January set the vines for up for a regular season.However wet and humid conditions in February created an unusual vintage with extreme weather. As a result, the 2021 vintage required extra work and attention to detail in the vineyard. The final wines show incredible flavour at lower Baume’s with bright natural acidity. Great fruit purity and varietal expression.
