Bleasdale Vineyard Frank Potts Cabernet Blend
BLEASDALE VINEYARD Frank Potts Cabernet Blend, Langhorne Creek Bleasdale, the first winery in Langhorne Creek (1850), celebrates founder Frank Potts with this Flagship Series Cabernet-led blend filled out with Malbec and some or all of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, depending on the vintage. The wine typically has aromas of red berry and darker fruits with plum, violet and black olive notes. These characters continue on to the palate supported by nutty, spicy oak plus a hint of vanilla. Components are de-stemmed and crushed to open fermenters with the Malbec fermented as whole berries. After up to 14 days on skins post-fermentation the wine is transferred to French oak puncheons and hogsheads (about 30% new) for 12 months maturation.

Wynns Coonawarra Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
'Black Label' Cabernet Sauvignon, which was first vintaged in 1954, has evolved markedly over the decades. It is arguably Australia's most recognised Cabernet Sauvignon, and has more than any other, helped define Coonawarra. The wine is matured in new and seasoned French oak for 12 to 18 months. A classic Coonawarra Cabernet with pristine dark berry/ cassis aromas, fine grained tannins and underlying savoury nuances, it develops into a rich, chocolaty wine with age. In a super vintage, this wine can look astonishingly like a 2nd or 3rd growth Bordeaux with its pure cassis aromas and cedary complexity. Penfolds Bin 21 Grenache
Grenache in all its glory. Red fruits proudly lead the charge: raspberries, cranberries and pomegranate. Fragrant coulis on a summer berry pudding. Ferric notes of steel wool and cordite allude to the iron-rich clay soil upon which the vines prosper in the Barossa Valley. Charcuterie aromas of Jamón ibérico and Mojama dry cured tuna notes add an interesting slightly saline nuance. Rubbed olive leaves, sumac spice and ginger peel aromas round out a very enticing nose.
