Schioppettino is a fairly obscure variety even back in its homeland, but there has been a resurgence of planting in the last 30+ years turning it around to be almost cult like. The nose shows bright juicy blackberry, raspberry and blood plum, savoury earth showing its Heathcote roots, slightly smoky with vanilla and liquorice spice. While smelling rich and intense, it's medium bodied with fine sandy tannins and a crunchy finish.

Intense dark colour red with purple edge. Ripe blackberry and blueberry characters, cedar-wood and liquorice. Soft, rich, mouth coating, balanced tannin, hints of classic Cabernet and authentically Heathcote. There is a renaissance to charcoal cooking and woodfired oven cuisine. Matured in vats and casks for 7 months. Dark red in colour with black shaded edges and a dark red hue. Lifted dark raspberry and liquorice aromas combine with vanillin oak, earth and spice. Juicy dark raspberry, liquorice and dark cherry fruits carry medium body weight over an earth and vanillin spice back drop. Good flesh and freshness with slightly chewy tannins and a lively dark fruited conclusion. Drink over the next 2-3 years. Alc. 14.5%

Z Wine's Rustica Shiraz is an intense crimson red with purple hues followed by aromas of ripe cherry and red plum which are complimented by hints of pepper and spice with lifted perfumed notes. The palate is warm and full flavoured, displaying generous sweet red fruit, such as cherry, raspberry and plum. These fruits are couple with cedar spice notes and the soft mouth-filling tannins carry the fruit as well as providing structure and length to the wine. This wine is an exemplary example of a lifted, fruit filled Barossa Shiraz suitable for drinking in its youth.

Produced from a mature low yielding vineyard in the heart of McLaren Vale, Gemtree Uncut Shiraz is a superb expression of the region. Generous dark fruits abounds on the palate with fine tannins and balanced acidity, which leads to a lengthy finish.
