Bright red colour with tints of purple. The mineral notes in the wine are accentuated with the period of maturation in the bottle. The nose is of sharp spice and berries. On the palate it has good acidity and freshness. The persistent tannins give harmony to the wine, with an aftertaste of black pepper and currant. Light drying period of 20 days. The grapes are destemmed, pressed and vinified with delestage method. Alcoholic fermentation followed by malolactic one in vertical stainless steel vats. 3-6 months ageing in 20hl oak cask of Allier. Located in the heart of the Soave Classico DOC near Verona, Cantine Pra is run by brothers Sergio and Graziano Pra, the former tending the estates 25 hectares of vineyards and the latter in charge of the cantine. The Pra range of wines are considered to be one of the benchmarks for the region including the Soave Classico, an un-oaked Soave Classico Superiore, Monte Grande, the barrique aged Soave Classico Colle Sant' Antonio and a stunning Recioto di Soave Classico. A producer that is totally in tune with their terroir and what the varieties Garganega and Trebbiano are capable of delivering in the glass.

The love affair with alternative Italian varietals continues at David Hook wines. Pecorino is a new arrival, but it was well worth the wait. So latent yet complex.Very pale with a silver fleck. Grapefruit pith, yellow apple and almond aromas. Light-bodied yet very expressive with a bright mix of white and yellow fruit, an underlying nutty layer, mouth-watering acidity and a touch of talc-like grip.

Brilliant pale straw colour with highlights of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Peach, apricot and honeysuckle aromas drift out of the glass followed by some ginger and spiced pear notes. Light in body but fleshy in its feel the palate features pear, peach and apricot fruits over a delicate honeysuckle and ginger spice back drop. Fresh acidity finishing supple and elegant. Made from 100% Garganega planted in the basalt vineyards of Monte Calvarino. Brilliant very pale straw almost water like colour with a subtle tinge of green around the outskirts. Jumping out of the glass are delightful pear, red apple and lime scents which are complimented by fresh herb and wet stone notes. The wonderfully mouth-watering palate shows terrific intensity delivering pear and red apple fruits over lime, infusions of fresh herbs and stone fruit. Beautiful, juicy textural feel finishing dry with crisp acidity and a long, delicious aftertaste.

Fresh and floral, with notes of hay and almonds. Soft and easy mouthfeel with a light mineral touch.

Straw yellow; varietal ripe apple-led fruit fragrances; dry, well-structured palate sustained by pleasing acidity through to a long-lingering finish. It pairs very well with steamed small crustaceans, spaghetti with clams and grilled zucchini.
